I've been here 15 years. The hottest summer I experienced it got to 49 degrees for a few days back in 2013. I used to put my pillow in the freezer for a couple of hours before going to bed. AND I didn't have AC back in those days. Utter nightmare!

Perth in Western Australia sounds very similar regarding hot weather. We often get 88C-42C or sometimes higher.. during summer. Not much rain if any during summer. I’ve had a gut full of the heat. I can’t handle humidity so, I think if I go to Malta it will only be for a visit. My granny was Maltese.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Other cons: - the petards during festas. These things are unbearable. It's like the Blitz. I dunno how old people don't have heart attacks cos you can feel the windows shake! - the size of the island; it can make you feel isolated and claustrophobic - lack of greenery/parks Other pros: - food portions at restaurants: very generous! - history - people speak English + Italian

Where have you been shopping? Fresh strawberries, in Mellieha, where I live, are between 2 and 2.5 euro. Go to a small market. A lot of them are owned by farm families. I am able to eat things here that I gave up 10 or more years ago, when I lived in the States. Just bought broccoli and mushrooms yesterday. Like having diamonds and rubies, except they are edible. 40C may seem hot to someone who grew up in Britain, but it is normal for people like me. All a matter of what you're accustomed to. But I don't like the damp in winter.

Where did you buy your strawberries from? If from supermarkets, then yes, they would be pricey, especially during off-season. @@porucznikkundlewicz5218 If I properly understood what you meant, you are more than right. The Maltese people never really fought for the independence of their country, except simply following orders from their respective rulers. Unless we mention a few daring individuals who had a completely different vision from the rest of the population (which was always the vast part of the population). And in fact, those few individuals, were always seen as "traitors" from all the real traitors totally lacking from true morals and principles which were needed back then. Strawberries are not grown locally and most of it is imported but have never been priced €8 as you say. Why don't you mention local fruits such as melon and watermelon, a whole box of melon/watermelon weighing around 20kilos might cost €10 What makes you think you know anything about Malta just because you got a job here better than in the UK? Why did you speak Dorado fish when it's in season during it cost around €3 to €5 per kilo. Why didn't you compare those prices with the UK? You show garbage bins overflow. Anywhere on the Maltese islands, the street is all clean and every day people leave their garbage bags whether black or white bags by their door steps which are collected daily ~ and we pay nothing not like in the UK you need to pay for such services. Please don't post videos like these if you are not accurate as it's not correct. I will be making a report about your video to Malta Tourism and will check it and make the necessary report.
@tessamay3753

Hi Jeanette 😊 Thanks so much for interacting with my video! I'd like to address your questions, as it seems you did not watch my entire video before writing your criticisms. The whole point of this video is PROs and CONs of living in Malta, therefore if I were not to mention any cons then what would be the point in the video 🤷🏼‍♀️ No country is perfect, but considering I chosen to live here and have done for some time, you might presume that I actually quite enjoy it here 🥰 Which I do! Strawberries, just because you have not found any priced at €8 euros does not mean that I am lying? Would you question someone's experiences just because you had not experienced something similar? Because I certainly would not. Good point about the melons, I regularly buy local watermelon, its delicious! Not sure what you mean about the fish comment? Where I am living, the garbage situation is not the case. You can even visit Comino and see the absolutely disgusting state of the beach, rocks and sea after a busy day of tourists. I guess you must live in a much cleaner part of Malta than I, good for you! And so to summarise my reply to you, MY video is about MY experiences of living in Malta. Its a pros and cons video to help educate people who may be curious about this wonderful country. You are allowed to disagree with me, but please, do you really have nothing better to do than to report my video which is, as stated many times, MY OWN OPINIONS AND NOT FACT. I ask you to please not disregard MY experiences just because you think that your words, opinions and experiences are the only ones we should all be valuing. Perhaps you should make your own video based on YOUR own experiences as I did. Hopefully no one devalues your experiences because, God forbid, they don't agree with you 😇 Thank you for stopping by and thanks for adding another view to my video! 😘

Hello! It would completely depend on your nationality, but as with most expats you'd have a set time period (usually 2 weeks) before needing to claim your employment to the gov. But from experience it's much easier to have a job already lined up before moving 😊 saves a lot of stress! If that doesn't seem like a good option for you then might I suggest coming over for a small vacation to scope out the job scene and make face to face connections

Hi Tinu 👋 I'm not sure what you mean, all counties have different entry polices depending on where you're from. Unfortunately as the UK has left the EU, it is increasingly harder than before so I would recommend doing some research before making a decision 😊

@@tinutomy3258 to my knowledge, having work experience in Malta won't help you with a work visa for the UK... like I said, as they've now left the EU it's increasingly hard to get one I'd recommend checking the UK gov website for the requirements to apply 😊

Great person you are. You said it like it is. Malta is going to be the City of the Mediterranean Sea. But for that reason we are bringing a 1.5 million foreigners to built a nation . A country with less than a million people is not a nation, is part of a nation. Malta have only 300,000 people that are pure Maltese and the number keeps going down by the days. Who want to live in open prison [ Malta ] yes or no?
