its kind of insane how much utility hog has as a hero. He has great DPS, a consistent 1-shot combo from mid-close range, 600 hp (ability to tank a lot), and the ability to self heal. The only thing he lacks is movement options, and long-range, but his ultimate is a good replacement for movement, being able to push other heros away rather than run away yourself. I don't think there's any other hero that has as much going on as hog (except maybe pre nerf Brigette)

They play more with time and positioning. In every rank below Master, probably closer to GM, it's beeat your head against the wall called the objective until you get enough kills to win. So when you see dive tanks on high ground supports pocketing a widow genji and ana sitting low mnot pushing cart they do it because they are playing for the widow pick. Then after than they slowly push cart while widow takes advantage of the postion her tanks secured for her. They aren't just running up to the payload on second phase hoping to win the team fight because damage is too good at those ranks and doing that gets you punished.
