Verry true! I owe my life to my dog! French mastiff 😢 he saved me when I was being car jacked with a guy with a knife 🔪 he pinned the guy down till the help arrived! He clamped down on the guys throat! Every time he moved the dog clamped harder! Cops arrested the guy and he was basically fresh out of jail selling drugs and car jacking. God only knows what could have happened to me because the guy had assaulted women in car 🚗 theft! I was lucky because of my French mastiff saved my life! He didn’t see my dog so he thought id be an easy target 🎯 and I’m here to tell my story! Best dog ever!

We lost our gentle, loving giant 3 weeks ago aged 5 yrs 8 months from heart failure. His passing has been challenging. He was very obedient, handsome, loving, gentle, and loyal. I'm not sure I can ever own another. They are the most wonderful breed.

I have a 3 year old little boy, he's the sweetest, gentlest dog I have ever had. Their only negative quality is their unfortunate short life spam 😢

My French Mastiff goes to work with me everyday and loves everyone. He’s also a farm dog and learned some moves from our border collie. Hank is amazing.

Actually they don’t need a ton of exercise so not sure what that comment about having to spend a huge chunk of your time outside was about. They overheat very easily so it’s not good to keep them out in the sun for too long. I take mine on a 15 minute walk twice a day and she stays in great shape. It’s very unhealthy to push your dog with too much exercise and run the risk of injury or a possible heatstroke in the Summer months. Aside from that, great information and thanks for sharing! These dogs are amazing.. I rescued mine in December of 2020 and couldn’t be happier with her.

Yes, of course! it is always nice to fit them some exercises because their are some owner who don't exercise their dogs at all and these dogs need exercise because of all their hip and bone problems. :)

Mine do at least 6k a day more at the weekend and have never had any related health issues since i got my first one in 1997 . Cancer has taken most of them unfortunately, some of them have gone at only 3-4yr old oldest was 11 but 9 seems my average.

Love my mastiff but you must understand these are very large dogs. They also get mistaken for pit bulls. Great dogs👍

Got one DDB that is 19 months old. She has never shown aggression towards anyone or anything. Yes, she will tell if there are someone at the door but she is so happy to see them. She is very friendly and would like to cuddle with everybody that she meet. Most of the employees at the pet shops we go to and at the veterinarian knows her by name and gives her treats. Like other mastiffs she is quite stubborn and often thinks for a few seconds before she obey. It is as if she thinks what is in it for me. They are intelligent but also very attached to their owners. She often follows me around the house and keep an eye on me when I go out with the garbage. When it comes to personality you have dogs and then you have DDB. She has given me many laughs. They are well suitable for families with kids but caution most be shown in contact with toddlers because the dog doesn’t understanding how big it is and can by accident push small kids over. Still they seem to modify their behavior towards someone that is fragile like kids and elderly people. All I all they are some really good dogs. 😁👍👍🦮

Had 2 bull mastiffs and adopted a French mastiff a year ago. Breeds are very different. My French is loveable and curious about everything. But she's definitely wanting to be the Boss and it's a daily force to reckon with. She's also very demanding. Just turned a year and she's finally realizing it's not always her way. Bull mastiffs are much easier to train. But wouldn't think for a second about not loving and cherishing my French mastiff.

Why would people sub to your channel when use still images, you use a voice over not your real voice it's 2021 when uploaded should be in 4k for the video as simple images. If you done this in a test I'll give it a F for how good. Only think that don't make you fail is good facts but a boring video. 1 thing i will argue on is exercising your DDB, your saying go outdoors alot with them, 1, they can't if to hot, 2. they don't have a massive amount of energy when 3+ years old, 3. they should naturally muscle up. I know own 1 don't take um out more than 2 hrs a day and defo wait till lower than 25c before take um out 2nd thing it's life span is 4 to 8 years and some CAN and i mean CAN get to 14years like Hooch from Turner and Hooch. The you should once every 6 months go to vets for a full screening of cancer, heart problems etc.

Yes, mastiffs can only spend a certain amount of time outside but if they are outside longer then usual then that is on the owner the owner has to use their common sense on how they treat their dog and what's best for them. thanks for commenting your opinion! and yes some dogs live longer than other, and of course some of the are not full of energy when I got mako he wasn't as energetic but as time went on he started to have a little more energy than usual. So yes all dog are different and their body don't all do the same thing, The own knows what is best for their dog.

My first dog and he’s a French mastiff crossed with American bulldog and he’s just got his first problem. He has cherry eye in his right eye. Vets want 280 which is a lot and insurance won’t be covered because it’s already happened. I’m upset and worried and not sure what to do. Insurance for mastiff and American bulldog was £46 a month. Then I found out he’s French so then it went to 68 a month wtf! :(
