RLCS 2021-22 Finals, Dallas Texas. Rogue has made their way through the lower bracket to get a chance to fight Big GOOSE for the world championship title. As they go into the third set, they make it to game 7 overtime. Suddenly, EPICJohnny, who was subbing in for Big GOOSE, makes it up the wall. The perfect setup to put it in. Gyro bumps Turo by accident, leaving the net wide open. As EPICJohnny pulls a perfect flip into the ball off, launching it into the net, Shogun shouts in the most exhilarated voice ever; " EPICJOHNNY WITH THE BIGGEST AIRBORNE ROLL-FLIP REVERSE MARIO KART SNAKING MANIPULATION OF HIS CAREER! Big GOOSE ARE YOUR FIRST RLCS WORLD CHAMPIONS IN 3 YEARS!" The squad has taken home their trophy, Gyro's career is in shambles and Big GOOSE officially becomes a Tier 1 esports org, founded by EPICJohnny, who has now moved to OCE, the new number 1 region in the world.

@Kevinn_TT3 жыл бұрын
From memory: I think it was gold rush but I'm not entirely sure where they came up with the name. Doomsee and some casters were just chilling on a sofa watching other pros play and they had some banter on mechanic names. This was around the time johnnyboi_i kept calling the musty flick a retard flick because it would never be viable, you'd just eliminate yourself. Doomsee joked about wanting to coin the mechanic scoring from the back wall and doomsee dish had fun alliteration. I don't even remember wether the mechanic or the name came first. That's all, it was pure banter nothing serious at all but the audience stuck with it, and the casters started using it while casting this tournament.

It's perfectly valid to just refer to it as a 'dish'. Adding doomsee's name just adds flavour to it.

I happen to be a rocket league fan with 200 hours and frequent YT viewer, I knew 90% of these- but here's my metaguess for what an alien to the game would call them: 1. A "Hold" -dribble doesn't even make sense in the context of soccer 2. People naturally call these flips Idk what these pros were on they're obviously front/backflips, the WIFE was more right. 3. A "Throw" -maybe overhand throw idk 4. An "Airshot/hit" -straightforward 5. A "BOOM"- even has the word in the cloud 6. An "Air juggle" -self explanatory, idk what Rendi's thinking 7. A "Spatula" -you're flipping the ball like a burger (this is my favorite) 8. An " Aerial board-bounce" -self explanatory 9. A "Squeeze" -like firing a gel out of your hands by squeezing it 10. An "Off-the-board" -addendum unnecessary 11. A "Back Slide" -...you're sliding on your back 12. "REF HE DOIN IT BACKWARDS" -I give up

@Rocket_Sledge3 жыл бұрын
You are right a "juggle" is hitting the ball 3 times in a row without it touching the ground, but to the community it's always been air dribble (formerly air drag). According to this site juggle doesn't even exist anymore. rocketleague.fandom.com/wiki/Points I know for sure you don't get points but as someone who as all stats on I also can't remember the last time I saw the juggle indicator myself.
