This needs to be said: Bungie, the Recoil stat NEEDS streamlining and simplification. It is already obtuse enough that 87 Recoil is actually worse than 85. It is obtuse enough that 75 Recoil pulls one way, while 65 Recoil pulls the opposite way, and 70 somehow isn’t a happy medium between the two aforementioned stats. Now, on top of that mess, specific weapons from specific sources have “custom” recoil patterns that are NOT optimized when the Recoil stat is 100? WTF

Ngl I hope they make an updated shadow price and give it better pve perk combos than prosecutor. Not make it a bad pvp weapon. But prosecutor's origin perk is a huge advantage. And SP is a nightfall weapon - its origin perks are great for pve.

For those who haven't gone into prophecy in a while, yes the best to farm is when it's the featured dungeon. But we have power crept so much the first boss is easily 1-phase with even an average fireteam that it's worth doing 3X a week on all characters because it literally takes 5--10 minutes a run.

The combo of rewind rounds and frenzy has to be one of favorite workhorse perk combos. Was lucky enough to get an old sterling with it and this season with unraveling rounds and horde shuttle it is feasting as if it was an exotic. Was lucky enough last night it get a rewind/tap the trigger roll that I am now super excited to try out in crucible. Always great to see one of your videos!

I usually always use "fun" weapons that are unique and do more than just "pew pew" but man, I got a Rewind Rounds + Frenzy roll on this and it just feels good to use. It may provide 0 actual synergize with subclasses and may not be great at AoE like a Dragonfly and/or Voltshot roll might but man it just feels so darn good. (for PvE)

Great review and on the money. I could feel this weapon was going to be a big deal just using it. There’s a handful of weapons I use the term “x-factor” with. It’s just got the feels that transcend the numbers and you crave using. It legit hard to get a bad roll with this weapon, anything you get is serviceable. Love it.

I sure do like these 450's. I don't have one of these but my fragile focus/adagio Firefright is a great weapon that can outduel many other primaries in it's range (29-35m depending on perk activation status).

I like this thing a lot and got lucky enough to get an arguable 5/5 for PvP. My one fear is just full descent into an auto rifle/scout meta. So many games I’ve played are basically just each team bunching up in one area, and shooting in a firing line at the other team. Will reserve judgment for when we’re back to just normal control gameplay without fast charging supers etc, but that “everyone sit back here and shoot at the other team while they sit over there and shoot back at us” meta is the opposite of fun for me.

Love this thing so much, so happy they finally updated it. One of the few trials of the nine weapons I got when D2 launched, used it all the way till warmind, came back to it on occasion. That optic is just too beautiful. Was hoping it’d come out with Prophecy initially, but we got there in the end!

Rewind and Voltshot is a great option as well for sustained voltshot damage on higher health targets

The voltshot debuffed target remains debuffed for a long time and yes, rewind rounds does come into play, I’ve tested it with the roll that I got when I was farming the first encounter last week.

i used my dragonfly + target lock roll in trials last weekend. i do not rely on the dragonfly proc, but when it does pop, it does squeeze that extra little bit juice out of a precision kill with some collaterals- like an infinite ammo cloudstrike (if the other targets are low enough on health).

Did maybe 6 hours of 1st encounter and my best one I got was frenzy dragonfly. I pulled out my adept shadow price with overflow and dragonfly, and honestly it's a better feeling gun to me. The Stat package is higher, and that's before the +10 mod. I've been going back and forth every activity swapping between the two. Using eternal warrior with the both of them. I do really want a pvp roll

Been playing with a gutshot str8 target roll since the dungeon loot refresh and I have to agree this roll is a banger. I also have an 80 range keepaway frenzy roll that I plan on taking for a spin. Not quite the full range capacity but beggers can't be choosers.

Actually it's about to get even worse in TFS when this Auto becomes enhanceable. Swap out your barrel/mag and can enhance Zen, TL, KA, TTT whatever your preference.

Quick PSA in case you weren't able to get a keep away + target lock roll (like myself), *IF* you have the patience to grind it out, breakneck (kinetic 450 auto) can be focused at the drifter for only 1 engram each. BIG DOWNSIDES: This sucker has a massive perk pool; 12 perks in the 3rd & 4th columns each, and you have to play quite the ridiculous amount of gambit, which only a handful of people might be playing at the moment Upside(sorta): If you have the patience to reset your gambit rank multiple times, gambit weapons still follow the "chance for multiple perks in each column" rule, maximizing your chances of a god roll at 5 resets. Obviously this is a tough sell to anyone who isn't desperate for a good alternative; the biggest outlier that caught my eye was the difference, at base, in aim assistance: prosecutor has 34, breakneck has 44, so your shots with breakneck are noticeably stickier. I would ONLY recommend going after a god roll of this *IF* you have the patience for it; the best I've been able to get is eye of the storm + TL and it's a VERY solid dueling roll.

I hope Shadow Price returns with this sort of power one day. Prosecutor, even when it was a Trials of the Nine reward, always felt good to me. Very smooth shooting, clean sights, etc. Maybe make it Void and bring back Ringing Nail and keep it solar?

Rewind target lock works great in pvp. Because of how the perk works with dark too. You basically get more dark damage of you dont reload

I got a keep away target lock roll and a tap the trigger zen moment roll. Crazy good gun, I prefer zen moment and tap the trigger for me at least. Easier to control recoil on console and just body people.

Ive noticed with all my rolls whilst 84 and 94 recoil on paper dont look much different or even feel much different shooting at a wall they seem to make a BIG difference in game play and maintaining accuracy , even to the point I have rolls with 50 stability which feel better than rolls with 70 and im on controller. The more Ive tested my rolls and racked up kills on them all in crucible the more I've realised just how much a factor it is compared to some other guns where stability will negate such
