There are many safety precautions in place for a reason. There a multiple checks that have to be done to ensure safety and the actor is the last check. Before action is called, the actor is to fire into the ground to ensure the gun is not live, Also, gun safety 101 you always treat every gun as a loaded weapon. You never wave it around an you never point it at someone or something unless you intent to pull the trigger. Your finger is never on the trigger until you are prepared to fire that weapon. Alec has been in the industry and in life long enough to know these things. There are many who are culpable in this case. The armorer, the senior armorer who should have been onset helping the brand new armorer. The production company because they let them work on a skeleton brew, again not something you do when weapons are involved. there is supposed to be layer upon layer of protection. Then Alec himself because he did not practice gun safety.
