It's a great reminder that the SDC is a weapon for smaller targets, the 6000 dominates this field now. Thoroughly enjoyed 😉. Cheers 🍻.

Just a heads up for you with your intro. Nothing whatsoever wrong with filming Aussie wildlife, adds a great dimension of interest - especially for viewers from overseas, so I’d encourage that greatly. The “problem” arises, the moment you handle any native wildlife on camera & publish it to KZbin. Unless your a licensed “snake catcher” with your states wildlife authority, your publishing the evidence needed to prosecute you for “taking protected wildlife” under the Wildlife Act. The definition used in the Act of “to take” is “to have in one’s possession”. If your publishing video of you having a live protected snake “in your hands” ie “in your possession” then your immediately guilty of “taking protected wildlife” by definition under the act and can be fined. Max fine is somewhere around $10k You gotta find a lotta gold to pay a fine like that. 😉😜😂 And it’s not like a Wildlife Officer had to “catch you in the act” to secure a conviction. The guy doesn’t even have to leave his nice air conditioned office, to secure a conviction - because you’ve unwittingly published all the evidence needed to convict you for him. He merely needs to download a copy and save it, ready to present in court. I’m not saying, “don’t film it”, because as long as you don’t handle it, then your good as gold and it improves your channel, I’m not even saying “don’t handle any wildlife” (when really I should), what I’m saying is “don’t publish the evidence needed to convict you of a $10k offence. 🙄😂 There’s a zillion people out there who want to emulate old Harry Butler on video these days - (& back in my Wildlife days I actually worked with Harry (RIP) on TV filming wildlife documentaries), but the point is, it’s just encouraging others to break the law & risk potentially large fines. KZbinrs of late seem to think they are a law unto themselves & can do anything they like & publish it online with impunity & get away with it. Only yesterday I saw a KZbinr (in QLD) lamenting his $7700 fine for taking / damaging protected flora - when he published a bush bashing video of him and his mates in a offroad rock crawler in a National park - running over vegetation “off the track” in a National Park. QLD Nat Parks saw his video & took him to court. There’s going to be increasing crack downs on KZbinrs “breaking the law” & publishing the evidence needed to convict them - from hooning to bush bashing bogans, to yes, people “handling protected wildlife”. The big one that a LOT of the lap around Oz Travel Vloggers haven’t realised yet, is that all states Nat Parks authorities have regulations about “commercial filming Nat Parks scenery for profit”. You have to apply for & pay for & be granted a permit to film Nat Parks for profit, from the Nat Parks authorities ahead of time. It’s again big fines if you get caught not doing so. Every second lap of Oz Vlogger with a drone and a paying KZbin channel is guilty of this crime. At $1000”s in fines per offence - and some Vloggers filming multiple parks in one video without paid for permits - all these authorities have to do to draw in $Millions in fines - is sit in their air conditioned offices - watching KZbin videos all day & sending out fines notices in the mail to everyone they can catch in the act - using the evidence the perpetrators were unwise enough to publish. 🙄 I think a LOT of KZbinrs are in for a very big shock once the authorities start realising how much lost revenue they are missing out on and the potential fines bonanza that KZbin can provide for them, by simply downloading & saving the evidence. So it might pay to maybe edit your intro to remove just the small section with you handling the snake. But that’s just my advice. Feel free to ignore it if your pockets are deep enough to afford the fine. 😉👍
