Hi, I found a workaround for collecting, when your bags dont fill, land your prospector near the rocks and turn off all systems on your ship wait 15 20 secs then restart yiur ship systems. This works for me every time.

I spent the whole day mining around hurston, arial, ita, and magda. Did 6 runs at nearly 100k each and everything worked fine.

I’m really glad you made this video as the same thing happened to me while I was trying to complete the IAE Academy tasks. The Prospector is broken it seems. I could sell nothing at the refinery because it wouldn’t collect anything so I could not complete the task. Have you submitted/supported a bug report on the council?

No problem!So it seems like this is an old bug, but this is the first time I ever encountered it even after all the prospector mining that I’ve done.

It means micro(μ)SCU, which is 1/1.000.000 SCU, yeah that (μ) is a Greek symbol. Cheers!

I switched my pods to the bigger ARGO ones that were meant for the Mole (and that is a whole process to itself), it showed my SCU capacity as 0 when I logged back in. So I switched it back to the regular ones then it still showed 0. I then just started mining at 0 like you did but for some reason the quantity popped back up once I started extracting and it was normal again.

Yea, so odd! I really hope that prospector mining gets a major revamp.

@@zirHazeGaming Yeah a lot of the non-combat game loops needs a revamp, even the ROC mining one. Salvaging is another one, as the recycled material boxes don't always snap to the freight elevator cargo grid and that's a whole other thing lol

This 0/0 cargo is quite an old bug actually, but having it although you just got your Prospector out is strange. It basically means your ore bags are not recognized. A full restart of the ship can solve that, although you may need to respawn it, or even reclaim it. I strongly suggest players to do a ore bag check at startup, that will prevent being already mining and just realizing you can't extract anything

I have this issue too. When it happens I retract the mining arm and redeploy. I test collect on a rock and it works fine at each time. This was reported in 2023. Good luck !

Love the new MFDs - It's not all the rocks by the way. Sometimes you have to try a couple.

Mustang was my first ship ever, bought it 2014 and didn´t really play because the game really was bad back then XD But now ... lets say this years IAE I found my love for the MISC ships ^^ And I love what they did with the MFDs, feels a lot more polished now the ship, but they still have a few things to do ... maybe we get a rework when the Fortune comes out? Seems to share the same chassis?

Yea, things are still not final with this ship. They should also add larger bags specifically for the MISC

New scanning system is a mess I'm mining solo with Argo mole, now the scanning doesn't tell you what the is in the ore unless you are in mining mode, I need to walk back and forth from the pilot seat to the mining cockpit juts to know what I can get from that ore.

by the time i get done mapping the controls , I dont have the interest to play. there should be a file to install with preconfigured control mappings.

Have you tried copying your maps from the Control Folder and saving them on your computer? Then just paste them back in after each patch. I think it’s location is something like: LIVE/USER/0/CONTROL MAPS Either that or look at HCS new control maps programme for SC. Button mapping simulator has been added to screen shot simulator for the latest patch 😂. Good luck 🤞🏻

I'm trying this game for the first time thanks to the Free Fly event, and I spent the entire 2 days I had access to the Prospector unable to figure out how to use it haha. None of the rocks would scan, neither the planetside ones nor asteroids, so I couldn't actually crack anything open. Really hoping that my attempts go better tomorrow since the ROC and Mole are both supposed to be available, I know the Mole isn't intended to be used solo but I'll figure something out haha. Luckily, mining by hand worked for me and was an enjoyable experience yesterday. Wasn't particularly lucrative, I think with fuel costs (and repair, though in my defense that wall crashed into me not the other way around) I actually lost money since I only filled one small backpack, but I wasn't trying to make money so much as simply trying to figure out what I like to do. Still waiting on Drake day so I can try out salvage, I apparently missed out on the Reclaimer but I think that would've been way too much ship for me to handle on my first day playing haha.

Question: Why would you play right now if the 4.0 patch will wipe everything? I have limited time and I'm wondering what will not be wiped. Like do I make credits and buy some ships? Grind rep? I think everything is getting wiped, right? Every time I log in, it's so bugged, I basically waste an hour or my life and log off again.
