On the pullback "3 candle" method, which timeframe should we usually reference as a benchmark? It's true that we could see 1 large pullback candle on the 1 hour timeframe, then get down to the 5 min timeframe and finally get the 3 candle that fit the criteria. Is there a rule on which timeframe to utilize as the benchmark or should we search through the different timeframes until we see the 3 candles closing in succession of one another? Pls answer me this question: Talking about the golden rule, it is mandatory to take the closing price of the first candle that is opposite to the main trend as the standard to compare with the second, third,... right? If the closing price of the 3rd candle crosses the wick of the 2nd candle and the closing price of the 4th candle crosses the wick of the 3rd candle but the closing price of the second candle does not surpass the wick of the first candle, in this case is it considered a valid pullback?
