Hello doctor Ryan , I wanted to make sure of the sequence for checking the crown after receiving from the lab , my reference is the contemporary fixed prosthodontics textbook 4th edition This is what it says : 1. **Fit and Marginal Integrity**: The marginal fit should be the top priority because improper fit can cause issues such as bacterial leakage, decay, or periodontal disease. The margins should sit flush with the tooth without any gaps 2. **Proximal Contacts**: Ensure the crown has proper contact with adjacent teeth. If contacts are too tight or loose, it can cause discomfort or food impaction 3. **Occlusion**: The occlusion must be checked for any interferences. This ensures the crown aligns properly with opposing teeth and avoids high points or improper loading 4. **Stability**: Check that the crown is stable and does not rock or move when placed on the tooth. Any instability may compromise the restoration's longevity . 5. **Esthetics**: For crowns in the esthetic zone, ensure that the color, translucency, and contour match the patient's natural teeth . 6. **Surface Texture and Glazing** It put Esthetic at last , so what should I do if I get a question like that in the exam 😢

Hi there! I saw a question on the mastery app that asked " A patient requires a reline of both their maxillary complete denture and their mandibular Kennedy class I removable partial denture (RPD). Which of the following describes the proper method to complete these procedures?" The answer was "Relate the mandibular partial denture frame first." Can you please explain what the answer means by "relate" ?

Hello Dr Ryan. Thank you so much for all your videos. I’ve been following you and I found them really helpful. It’s good to have a lesson and hear you out talking about important topics...it’s way easier going back to the books. I’m right now preparing for NBDE II and you have covered a lot of the specialties but would you consider making some operative videos 😬 that will help us a lot. Thanks before hand and please... keep this channel up!

Hi again. I have a question that is going around my head since you mentioned in one of your videos. You have to replace a Mx canine with FPD. You use CI and LI as abutments. That is a type of cantaliver bridge. Don’t you want to have another abutment on the other side to avoid movement?I see your point but that makes me a little confused. In addition, I see the same question but with other options. A. Both premolars. B. Lateral and 1 Pm C. Lateral and central incisor and 1PM What would your answer be..!? Thanks sooo much for your help.

Hi Dr Ryan your videos are really helpful. Thank you for your efforts. I have question unrelated to the topic...do patients with mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation need antibiotic prophylaxis for a surgical dental procedure? Would be grateful if you reply... thank you

Hi there! Yes, you would for this patient since valvulopathy/valve disease is one of the four cardiovascular condition categories that require prophylaxis. Check out my video on antibiotics 😀

please clarify 09:00 , is oapcity not the opposite of translecency? as this is dictionary meaning of it :ot letting light through opaque. adjective. ō-ˈpāk. 1. : not letting light through : not transparent. if so you might want to choose answer choice b rather than d.
