Love my Corsair-7a, beautiful high weapon mounts combined with enough armor and structure to stay in the fight for a long time. Even when I fuck up I absorb so much damage that my team has time to make something happen.

This is why my Kit Fox-C doesn't have ECM. How can my AMS clear the skies of missiles if the enemy never has anything to lock their missiles onto?

@@KlavoHunter wouldn't it make sense that the best AMS for teammates is to prevent missile lock entirely with ECM and the 2nd best is actual active AMS. I guess not best for score though.

AWS-8R with 4LRM15A can relatively easily overwelm 4 ams. The heat penalty is next to none existence.

I love my 7A. Even when I'm not playing particularly well, all that AMS contributes something to the team. Mine's a 2xLBX10+3xLPPC build.

Me too... Actually the Cor-7A 4AMS + RAC opened the heavvy gameplay for me. Before that, I was unsuccessfuly with big mechs, and sticked only to lights and medium. But showing middle fingers to the LRM boats and hammering the enemy (no one likes to receive 3 RACs shells :D ) at the same time is soo rewarding... Actually I even started to love RACs in this mech (formerly I just couldn't manage to use RACs in the iconic bushwacker builds....)

Gauss with lasers is nice because they essentially allow you to 'aim' the gauss rounds better, as they travel so fast that if you are laser-burning a taget letting off a gauss round almost always goes in the same place as the burn, if that makes sense

I don't know how the hell you can spot enemies through buildings and the other side of the map when I cant get my spot to work unless I can see the enemy pilots eye color. Is there some secret to it?

UAV 5 meters away from the opponent team and they can not see it. When the UAV is this close you can see through walls and that's why anything in midrange to close range should have at least one available to pop one up where the team is camping. When you are in the middle of a close range encounter pop a UAV and they're unable to shoot it down.

@@robertagren9360 i also found after watching this video that you can spot any enemy whos targetable on sensors, no matter how far or how much is between you and them. it makes so little sense i never even thought to try it, i always assumed you needed visual confirmation to spot an enemy, your pilot is basically just pointing at his radar and telling every one he sees the same red triangle that they all see too, its ridiculous that "information" could help your team track the enemies movements after the enemy you never even saw was off sensors.

I think 2 Gauss with ER Mediums is also another pretty great build. I was one of the enemy Viper in the second game, your team had a lance chasing my skirmish lance. When your team's chasing mechs went back to the group they left 1 mech by 1 mech instead of a group together so we just picked them off 1 by 1.

Try 2x ER PPCs with 2 LGR for long range shenanigans. Midrange? 3x RAC-2s, 3x LPPCs.

@@clayendfield4850 can confirm 3LPPC 3RAC2 COR-7A is great. You become a huge problem just shelling enemy mechs, and the LPPCs are great for an extra 15 damage or even just knocking off Stealth/ECM.

I like Laser AMS on the mech. I run as many heat sinks as possible and go hog-wild with the rest of the build being fairly cool

Great video as always and I've actually noticed that with the Corsair if the gas rifle is on top you can't hear the broad side of a barn so try putting it on like the right arm side you might get a better aim with it I actually experimented a little bit with MechWarrior 5 they have the Corsair on there as well I even made an interesting build with two ac20 burst fires and SRM 6 and two ppcs

I just came across this build in a game funnily with Warhammer lrm. Zero of my missiles survived his defense. As part of a lance this builds could greatly reduce how much damage the enemies missiles do

What's the point of regular AMS over Laser AMS and when do you use what? Looking at the stats the only difference I can see is trading limited ammo for less weight?

They weigh the same when factor in 1 ton of ammo for the regular AMS. Regular ams is ammunition dependant but produces no heat. L-AMS can go on and on and on but produces heat. Normally that not a big deal because it's not much but when you have a hot build either here or on a kitfox-C it can shut you down when you least expect it. Or worse if you have override engaged, you'll just shoot down every missile on your way to hell as they cook you alive and kill you. Also you can deactivate AMS just like stealth armor and switching ECM.
