Years ago I used to plant tomatoes without caring about blight and powdery mildew, but suddenly one year the tell tale marks on the leaves started to appear. I have tried most things but the most effective treatment appear to be copper and sulfur.
The best way of applying the powder is with a sulfur duster. I have to look this up on amazon to see what it is called in English. It may be that sulfur dusting is not very effective in rainy climates because the powder is washed off in the rain.
Here in Spain it does not rain much after May so it is each to keep the leaves coated.
I made an error in the video. The liquid is a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and copper. There is no sulfur in the water.
This technique is also used for my vineyard where powdery mildew is a big problem.
People tell me that you should wear old clothes to do this job because the sulphur can rot your clothes. It is also a good idea to wear a mask.
