In the beginning they showed someone get in the car while another waited to push. They had an outside light shining which doesn't do anything by itself. Though my vehicles are locked in my garage I also installed a driveway alarm that alerts me whenever it detects a warm body or warm vehicle in my driveway. That way nobody can approach my garage without me knowing about it.

You should have explained why the RF protector pouch is necessary. Thieves use gadgets that can 'steal' the RF signal from your key FOB... So, you're drinking beer at home, and your car is all LOCKED outside, with the FOBs sitting on top of your luxury mantelpiece or - worse - window sill. Thieves will walk around the house with their RF scanner trying to find the signal from your key fob inside the house. Once Thief #1 has it, he'll football it over to Thief #2 who's standing next to the car with a similar gadget. They fool the car into thinking Thief #2 has the actual FOB. The car will allow them to unlock the door and even start the engine, because it thinks the owner is entering the car. Same thing can happen in any public place (restaurant etc.) when you have your FOB on you -- unprotected. And that's where this RF pound comes in handy. I just ordered mine from Amazon...

Destroyer 1320 should have included tamper proof bolts to replace the 8 mm bolts with! The car thieves, have computers to program keys. What makes you think they’re not gonna have an 8 mm ratchet or wrench in their pocket? I’ll tell you what I did with my challenger. I removed the neutral cable from underneath the shifter and ran it up towards underneath the hood. I have an extension ran to it, so if I need to put my car in neutral or open the hood and pull a little cable. I also installed a Killswitch, so the car will not crank unless the Killswitch has been activated.

Sadly, I drive a stick scat pack so the neutral switch cover can't work for me. But honestly, that's the best security feature of my car. So few people know how to drive stick nowadays. Another great option is to cover a school box with aluminum foil (inside and out) and place your keys in the box at night. I tested it with my phone and I got super poor signal inside for wifi, cell signal bluetooth (I Miracasted to the tv to monitor signal strength but had the phone and box right next to the tv...). I also blocked the key fob with the aluminum covered box and couldn't lock out unlock the car at all. I'd say this was a success for me and at least worth trying out before spending any money...

I know, sounds stupid but, these relays can be controlled remotely from your phone so what you can do is replace the starter, ignition or fuel pump relay with a Bluetooth activated one. When you park your car somewhere deactivate the relay. Now if someone tries to steal your car they won't have fuel, ignition or the ability to turn over the engine. Genius!

Seems like you’re over complicating it… Any reason why you wouldn’t just get some super glue and glue down that plastic piece so they can’t remove it and have access to the neutral safety switch … but in case they manage to break it off, how about also removing the red strap so it’s not fast and easy to pull it into neutral? Between those two things it would take considerably longer and good chance they’ll just split. That’ll cost about $5 and take about 5 minutes assuming you don’t already have glue laying around the house

well you have your fob which still activates the dash so if the ignition is on then you can put it in neutral. that plate is for scenarios where if the thief breaks your window because he cant gain access to your fob signal then hes not going to be able to pull the neutral strap but because he also doesn’t have the clone to your signal hes not going to be able to activate your ignition dash to put the shifter in neutral. if the car is backed in a thief cant tow the car in park if its rear wheel drive either so at that point if he really wants the car hes gunna be spending enough time to get busted by someone

Here's a scenario that I've read about. Its about stealing your car out of your driveway. This method depends on you and your wife keeping the car fobs right at (or close to) the front door, or at least on the front wall. It requires two men. Man #1 will have a device to pick up your fob's nonstop transmittal of the codes to start your car, from inside the house. But, his receiver device is far, far more sensitive to other devices transmitted signals than what your car has. He gets to within about 50-ft of your house's front wall, counting on you having your key fob handy for when you go out the front door. So his receiver will pick up the signal coming out of your fob. THEN, his receiver also has a retransmitter that can relay the signal that was picked up, and forwards it on to man #2, who is standing right by your car's front door. The retransmitted signal will unlock your car and also prime the push button starter button, which man #2 pushes, and your car just starts itself up. Man #2 then drives away with HIS new car. The solution is to put your cars' starter fobs as far away from the front of the house, or another door that you go out of when going to your car. If you can find one. get a small box made out of sheet lead, put that box as far away from front walls and doors as possible, and keep your fob in that box, which will not allow the fob's broadcast signal from being picked up by anybody else.

It was cool tech when it first came out, but now when rental Camry's have push to start there's literally no coolness left. But anyway my keys stay in my pants pocket all the time usually by the side of my bed at night. It's strange to me anyone would do anything different, maybe next to your bed on a night stand. I don't own one of these cars but another way people are stealing these cars that theives are scoping out parking lots and when they see one they like they quick slap on one of those apple air tracking devices so they can track the car down later to steal it or when an opportune time comes they jump out on you so be aware of your surroundings or a car that is following you, but the downfall for the thieves is that if you have an iphone it will allert you that you are being tracked by the tracker im not sure about android s though. Also if you wrap your keyfobs in aluminum foil it will do the same trick as that keyfob pouch but if you dished out the cash for one of these cars you may as well get the pouch
