Hey, just added some to the tank on my dinghy. I had planned to do it anyway, but your video reminded me to get on it, and get a bottle. You can tell the Sta-Bil folks that your marketing has been proven effective!

Well, you did better than i could at making an advertisement. Great job. And i adore you both. You show alot of both sides of learning the boat life, fun and work. As soon as im out in the water, we should meet up. I don't drink anymore, but id gladly pick up some nice beer for you and the lady

Well, you sold one bottle of Sta-Bill today. Going to pick some up on the way to winterize my boat. Good video. I needed a laugh this morning.

You're right, I totally agree with you. Sta-Bil are a great company. They give good advice too. You should ring them up and ask them which product they have to replace the cooling water impeller in the lower leg of the outboard after you didn't bother to flush the motor out with fresh water before you stored it at the end of the season. I'm sure they have a can of something that'll do the job for you. ;-)

You made a great choice in the Island Packet. My wife, daughter and I sold our house, quite our jobs, bought an Island Packet and went sailing in the Caribbean for about 5 years. We anchored in a Cat 5 hurricane and survived thanks to our Island Packet! You have great adventures ahead of you. We now live in Fort Myers if you want to contact us. We would be happy to share our experiences. Fair winds and following seas!

+Larry Tanner thanks for reaching out! The IP was on our short list and weren't sure it was in our budget but when we found the one, we didn't look back! We'll let you know if we are ever in the Ft Meyers we'll reach out. Would love to hear your cruising stories!

Love all of your videos. You two are my favorite boat related channel by far because you are authentic, genuine, and you let your personality show instead of being overly scripted like many of the newer boating channels. I know you need to make money to pay for the lifestyle, and I hope this is also a product you would recommend even without a paid endorsement, but an entire video that is pretty much only a commercial for a product really isn't why most of the viewers watch your channel. I was really hoping you would weave in some more updates on recent experiences or show us a little more of what "The Boat Life" is really like... But instead I watched a commercial. It felt like I lost some of that genuine, authentic couple chasing their dreams and got a used car salesman (admittedly you are a hoot to watch and I love your easy going personality). I support you guys and I'm glad this helps to pay for the dream, but is there a way to weave these sorts of promotions into "real" videos? I hope you know I'm just trying to give you my viewing perspective and I'm not trying to be a negative troll. Keep up the videos and keep chasing the dream. I'm going to keep watching. Fair winds!

+Trey Laramore thank you for your feedback and we agree with everything you said! I am working toward releasing a weekly episode and have missed the mark on those videos. Unfortunately, The Boat Life is life and things out of our control happen. We are trying to avoid Patreon and this was the route we preferred to take. Thanks for watching!!!! Ps- we do like this product outside of being paid to endorse it!

It cold here in Scotland now, boat is winterized Love the chanel don't like the advert! know u need to make some cash. Good tip is to make sure you fill up your diesel tank to stop the diesel bug, it grows on the top layer between the diesel and air if you fill up your tank it gives less area for growth.

I also use Sta-Bil in all my petrol engines that use ethanol blended gasoline. I use 91E free in our Mercury Outboard, Suburban, 350GLK, 53 Ford, Honda generator, lawn mower, power washer and Ariens snowblower. That leaves....my next door neighbor when he comes to borrow. For an OB thats being stored it's just as, or more important to use fogging oil. www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=IL Keep up the vids>>>>> :)

Hey, I enjoy your channel but I have a comment about the paid endorsement. It went off well enough,, and I'm sure the extra income is a great help but next time you negotiate a plug with a sponsor, insist on 30 seconds, 45 at the most. 10 minutes is too long and I'm sure it was hard to come up with content to fill the space. Just a suggestion.

We prefer to have corporations help pay the way for us as opposed to asking our viewers for their hard earned money. Also, we make them as peripheral videos, not episodes, so they don't have to be viewed while watching the season...or at all if you don't like them. Thanks for watching!!!!

@StreetTruckinTitan7 жыл бұрын
When you live on a boat you need sponsors to stay afloat so to speak. Nothing wrong with plugging a product for alittle extra income or freebies. There will be plenty of sailing videos to come.
@mracer696 жыл бұрын
Same, unsubbed. It's one thing to plug a product, this was about 10 mins too long and somewhat not needed. If you are living on a boat, surely the dingy is going to be used often enough to not need a gas preservative. The only benefit would be ethanol related and if the motor is from this decade, it will have seals/lines suitable for ethanol so its not needed at all. Sta-bil is great for extended storage situations, don't think this is one of them.
