Any method that we can do watermark even ai removal also hard to remove it?
@Suitzzgg6 ай бұрын
How can I make that and export it to use in videos?
@JodyBruchon6 ай бұрын
Excellent question. Create a new layer with an alpha channel (or right click the new layer you made and add an alpha channel), make your watermark on the new layer, then delete the background layer. The watermark layer has transparency. Export as PNG using a pixel formal with an alpha channel (RGBA). import the PNG into your editor and it should watermark everything under it.

@@JodyBruchon thank you so much for this tutorial and for answering, you explain very well everything was easy to understand, keep the good work, and you could also make a video explaining that part, there are probably lots of people that wants to do this aswell

Someone would need to go through all these steps to detect your watermark though in the event your images have been plagiarised. Would someone do that to prove its fake?
@JodyBruchon Жыл бұрын
The point of a watermark is to prove that it's a direct copy. If someone were to use my pictures without consent and refused to pay me a reasonable fee to obtain the rights or take it down when confronted about it, I'd be able to extract the watermark to prove in court that they were in fact using my image copied directly off my website.
@midnightmachinations Жыл бұрын
@@JodyBruchon It's interesting. When I search for watermark on KZbin I get 95% telling me how to remove them and 5% telling how to make them. I decided to just write my shop name in Braille at the lowest pixel size as brail is simply dots which means my watermark is 1 by 1 pixel dots and reads perfectly fully zoomed in at the lowest resolution. Am I being clever or stupid? I don't even know at this point

I think you can show that you have edited the image in this way, but not that the image is yours. You could equally well have taken someone else's image and edited that. But interesting technique, nevertheless.
@JodyBruchon7 ай бұрын
Obviously anyone could put a watermark on it anytime; the point is to watermark it in a way that's not noticed so you can prove your watermark was placed on it without them knowing it's there so they don't remove it. What purpose would someone else have for placing your watermark?

Awesome, I'll have to bookmark this. Not that I need another image viewer, but I just checked and IrfanView runs perfectly through WINE for me. If it has settings that make it function as well as Viewnior I may keep it.

If anyone is interested in looking up more ideas like this, the general term for concealing a message within a message is steganography. The technique I like is encoding the watermark into the final bit of each pixel. The problem is, I imagine it's not at all resistant to compression or resizing as a great way to reduce file sizes without losing detail is to mess with those least significant bits.
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, if you want to hide stuff in plain sight then that's a nice way to do it, assuming you can decipher the original message somehow (what you describe plus the original unmodified image would constitute a one-time pad, the only encryption method that is theoretically impossible to weaken). Like you said though...lossy compression is the enemy. That's why I essentially made large enough text composed of somewhat orderly chroma noise: if it's compressed, it'll still influence the compression input enough that it may survive.

I tried this with photoshop, seems to work fine until the jpg is compressed by anything else and you cant really make out what the watermark is. Still quite cool, great idea.
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
JPEG compression can get brutal and Photoshop defaults to a quality of "8" which is like 78 on a real JPEG scale. Try making the watermark a lot bigger and see what happens.

0:56 Ah yes, the secret technique for protecting your work: Make is so undesirable that no one would ever _want_ to use your image! Genius! Waaay back when I was in school and would occassionally help my dad out in the office, one of the tasks I'd get was to remove watermarks like these.

I really like this method and feel it should be used all the time. I enjoy collecting images fir screensaver or backgrounds and even some because they are beautiful works of art. It’s also disappointing when you open an image to get a better look at it and there are water marks obscuring the whole view of the enlarged image. On another note, if you’re so concerned about your works being copied/stolen/misused/not paid for. Then do not put in on the internet ( oh , I mean fabulous ethereal mysterious cloud ) because if it exists on the web, I and any other mildly adept web surfer will find it’s ripe for the taking regardless of what method you attempt to make it “secured”. Aside from my original complaint of just destroying the view of the media with such hard handed tactics that just chases your average computer user away. P.s if I’m making a bit of a ramble I’ve been up for over 24 hrs now forgive me. Like your style to the point, straight talk no bull and best of all not being arrogant about things. Subscribed !!!!!!
