WOW! I knew Emma's parents were control freaks, but YIKES! They're treating our poor frog bean like an object, private property they use for some kind of status symbol (especially will Conrad making the remark that Emma's "phase" is making THEM look bad). The sooner she moves in with her mate & mom, the better! Also if Emma''s parents actually removed Emma's mating gland, it wouldn't make the op loose interest....he'd become just like Veronica.....he'd go insane because of mating gland withdrawal (I think I remember how that works).

Y'know, this whole life-mate thing's got me thinking... this world probably has some kinda website for lycans where they can meet up and go to gatherings in order to possibly find their life-mates. And I'm thinking there could probably arise some kinda story from that. Possibly one where the protagonist has gone to dozens of these gatherings, but with no luck finding their life-mate. So they try one last time, and this time, it's either hit or shit. And just when the party dies down and the last ones are leaving, it seems like there's no luck tonight either... Until they get a certain whiff of something...

I just looked into the whole tracker issue and the judges both have no case and on top of that have broken privacy laws and illegal tracking of an adult. Also committed the crime of illegal experimentation of a minor. They can face charges for illegal activity and experimentation on a minor. In other words they can be stripped of status, face prison time and even be forced to pay restitution for damages.

...hopefully the whole 'bribed the surgeon to implant a tracking chip' thing gets resolved... Assuming the operation wasn't illegal in the first place...and that they weren't required to inform her at some point... ...wait, was the tracking device put in her brain, since it was inserted during the inhibitor chip operation? Geez. ...if it can't be safely removed, hopefully she can get the tracking signal changed so her parents can't access it. ...and if the fix is really in that thoroughly in the city's courts, enough that Lyra can't manage to pull a win on the local level, hopefully they can keep her safe until they get a corruption investigation from the state court...or the federal/supreme level.

Honestly her parents are crazy I mean the listener’s mother is quite the character but you can’t say she doesn’t love her children and her family. Though you can tell at the very least she won’t push her beliefs on other people. If someone disagrees with the listener’s mother they would turn the other cheek.
