this video has showed me that playing a prot paladin in wotlk pvp was the best decision i've ever made. dude runs circles around you while every slam gets blocked and you can't revenge him. that is so fucking awesome to see.

Great video! Definitely interested in knowing how you are geared and what stats you are stacking. I Prot PvP as well, I’m currently stacking block value, strength, and crit. Sitting at around 1555 BV and using the BV trinket before SB to get bigger Slams 👌🏻

Same for prot you need to stack Block value and armor pene but its not possible to cap 100% in this phase so going for str gems or crit is your Best choise. The gear I use isnt quite bis i am sitting at 1.7k Block value and I miss 5-6 items till I am bis 🙂

The build i use is simple 2/5 prot t7 rest is Block value items and where u dont have any Block value item u use some dps items

Yeah, Prot warriors usually have resilience below 500 even on BiS Wrathful. You can definitely play it in bgs without any resil, and in arenas to be competetive you need only few houdreds.

I think resil isnt worth it since u have Block, dodge, parry and high armor vs melee classes and also stuns, double silence, spell reflection vs ranged and dont forget shield wall, last stand and enraged reg. So no point to lose dmg for 300-400 resil which is basically useless. If you are arp cap and Block value caped you can gem crit instead

Has this been nerfed? I'm sitting at 1271 block, but only doing 3.5k slams. I don't have any T6 which I know the bonus is great, but with that much it seems I should be doing a lot more. Is it an armor pen issue perhaps?

I have around 2000 Block value and I use tier 7 bonus shield slam buff thats why my dmg is great but i am no way near bis

Put your mouse over "block" in defensive stats there you can see block value and the cap depends on what lvl you are. I think for 80 it's around 2600
