Protective Chanting (Parittas) at Wat Pah Nanachat

On March 25, 2020, at 16:00h the Sangha of Wat Pah Nanachat gathered to chant the traditional set of protective verses (parittas) as part of the nation-wide chanting in all Buddhist temples dedicated to the people affected by the Corona-Virus pandemic. Especially the Ratana-Sutta (Discourse on the Jewels at starting 13:54 min) traditionally is seen as a protection from diseases, plagues and epidemics, as the legend says the Buddha gave this discourse to the people of Vesali after a famine and plague hit the city.
