in at the ground floor...peace from ireland! does the recent alphafold breakthrough and perhaps the use of crystalography techniques like Cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) create opportunities to imrpove the protein design process? Can I use the visual I get from Cryo-em to derive /decode it back into an amino acid sequence and then tweak certain aspects of this to create a novel functional protein?

@@StevenNess do you see any public researchers or private companies putting the technical resources in place to be able to do this? If not, is there an opportunity to develop this ? Perhaps a regional cryo em facility attached to a university research group or something so that the "work" of visualization is getting done and not remaining in the abstract?
