Protein digestion

This video is about protein digestion.
Proteins are complex compounds and thus in parts of the digestive system, different stages of protein digestion happen.
1. Mouth: Only the breakdown of protein occurs. T
2. Stomach: Stomach enzymes like pepsins converts complex proteins into a 3. The Duodenum of the intestine: Pancreatic juice breaks long polypeptide chains into small polypeptide chains.
4. Ileum of the intestine: Converts small peptide chains into amino acids. These amino acids are stored in the liver for further functions. Small amounts of dietary protein are lost in the feces.
