Hey Y'all! I wanted to come and make an update to this video. I stated that the Camille Rose Algae Renew Deep Conditioner was protein-free. However, it does have MSM in it which is a form of amino acids and it has Blue Green Algae, which is supposed to be high in protein and minerals, when ingested. Biotin is a vitamin that helps in the metabolism of carbs, fats and proteins. Therefore, this conditioner would be considered by some to have protein. However these ingredients are very low on the list, which leads me to believe that there is not a lot of it in this conditioner. In any event, if you are protein-sensitive, please use your best judgment as to whether or not you want to try this conditioner. NOTE TO EVERYONE: Do Your OWN Research!

Definitely because I used that on my protein overload hair and couldn't figure out why it was still so brittle and tangled after. I stopped and used TGIN and that did the trick

It's 2023 and this is still a helpful video! I had almost given up on finding a budget alternative to briogeo superfood mask...the mielle did such a great job on my hair, even without any product, my hair is soft and my curls look really nice. Can't wait til tomo when I'll see how miss Jessie's pillow soft curls work with this. I can tolerate some protein but a completely PF weekly mask seems to do wonders for my hair.

@NaturalRaeRae4 жыл бұрын
Tameka, sorry you're having difficulties with your hair. I am not a stylist and I haven't seen or felt your hair so I can't say for certain what you need to do. I do know that you have to add moisture to your hair to counteract the protein, if you are indeed having protein overload. It takes time to see a difference, it won't happen overnight. You need to be ingredient conscious and make sure that you are not adding any more protein to your hair. You will need to look at your shampoo, conditioner, styler, etc. to make sure that they do not have protein in them. Make sure not to go the other way, though, and get moisture overload. If all else fails, I would say inquire with a professional stylist to make sure you indeed have protein overload and not something else. Good Luck!

The babassu deep conditioner contains, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil which says that is rich in protein. I’m kinda scared to use it because I didnt want any protein
@alamatablessing8651 Жыл бұрын
Rice bran oil is not protein. What is protein is hydrolyzed rice protein so it should be more than OK for your hair.
@hiamildebraganca48256 ай бұрын
@@alamatablessing8651hello, babassu oil is one of the penetrating oils with high affinity to hair protein so even though it is not a hydrolysed protein it will act as a protein in the sense of strengthening the hair.

How often should we deep condition? Do you dc every shampoo? Also,do you have a video on no protein hair butters or curling cremes?
@NaturalRaeRae3 жыл бұрын
I deep condition every time I wash my hair because that's what I prefer. However, some people only deep condition when they feel their hair needs it. I would suggest that you deep condition with every shampoo to make sure you are replacing that moisture that the shampoo strips out, but again that's just my preference there are no hard rules. I do not have a protein free butter or cream video, sorry. Thanks for tuning in and for the questions.

There are 6 or 7 different proteins. I found this out the hard way. I had thick hair down my back and my hair stylist kept over proteining my hair. I an to get it all cut off 2 yrs ago now its at my bra strap, but i take a magnefying glass with me when i go buy hair products because there are so many proteins and its very sad the hair stylist dont realize that keratin is a protein as well. Im nit sure what they are teaching these people when they attend these school, i guess they focused on wigs and weaves.

Hi I have a question. So when do you use clarifying shampoo on your hair? because I have low porosity and I’m trying to you know get used to it.Do you use clarifying shampoo every wash day or every other wash day? And on those days when you don’t use the clarifying shampoo do you just use regular shampoo? Also when it comes to conditioner do you deep condition every wash day or every other wash day. Also when it comes to deep conditioning do you use shampoo, conditioner and then deep condition or do you just use the shampoo and the deep condition?
@NaturalRaeRae2 жыл бұрын
Wow, this is a lot. I will be brief, but I will try to make a video on this soon to go into a little more detail. Until then, here is what I can say: I clarify maybe once a month, I deep condition every wash unless I use a cowash and then I may skip the deep condition and only use a rinse out. Sometimes I use a rinse out and a deep conditioner because I detangle with my rinse out.
