Protest against China (Berlin , Jan 10th 2009)

Protest of more than 25 Vietnameses against Chinese politics of expansion outside of Chinese embassy in Berlin on Jan 10th 2009.
They announced, in name of their nation, that China has to stop unconditionally using force to conquer islands, reefs and atolls from Vietnam´s ocean shelf in that so called "South China Sea" which is called "East Sea" by Vietnamese.
In the era of internationalize and human rights, harassing and killing Vietnamese fishermen that has been getting commited by Chinese navy in the recent years could not be intentionally continued any more.
Vietnamese fishermen are justifiably permited to work and to develop their own economy on Vietnam´s ocean territory without any preventing from Chinese side, the demonstrators reaffirmed.
They expressed also the determination to protect their motherland against the so called "Han-invaders" from the north that means from China.

Instead of accepting Vietnam´s inviting to ICJ for those issues, China has used force many times to illegally take control a lot of parts (reefs, atolls ...) from those islands : Paracels and Spratlys. During the Vietnam War (1954-1975), China used naval force to take whole Paracels (1956,1974) and Taiwan took a part of Spratlys(1956). 1988 China used 4 battle cruisers to fire rocket on 3 transport ships Vietnamese navy, killed over 70 Vietnamese sailors and conquered a reef from Spratlys.

Last decade alone, Vietnam officially invited China 2 times to ICJ (International Court of Justice) for this disputed issue.However China denied everytime . Why ? Because China isn´t in possesion of historical prooves about the sovereignty over those islands : Paracels and Spratlys ; even Vietnam has been really controlling and developing economy on them since 17th century and has much enough sovereingty prooves in case of an issue at ICJ.

China supported weapons,equipments, not ARMY Jan 1979, Deng Xiaoping announced in the media:"China will have breakfast in Hanoi, lunch in Hue and dinner in Sai Gon".He was dreaming on a "Blitzkrieg" to quickly take control over whole Vietnam. In only 3 weeks 1979, China lost 35.000 soldiers, 30.000 wounded, 400 tanks and vehicles destroyed, must had run back to China, even the most regular divisions of Vietnam didn´t participate.They were stationing in Cambodia at the beginning of war

it is ture that Mongols took China for several dacates, but it was not Genghis Khan, his army did take some part of northern China, but not the whole country, it was his grandson Kublai Khan started ruling China for several decates, even the son of Genghis Khan, who is the second Khan of Mongol after Genghis, was killed during the war with China .

@VN405 guangdong, guangxi, of course, it was part of the Nan Yue kingdom, the king of this kingdom was from HeBei province in northern china, who also succeed in conquering the Lac Viet kingdom, by the way, a lot of land in Vietnam today was not part of vietnam too, so what makes the islands ours, is not due to historical but rather military and economic strength, if Vietnam wants to play with fire, the the only result for it is just to get burn to ashes
