Protest Against The Western Link | Norwich

On Saturday (January 20th), concerned Norwich locals gathered at Wensum Park and Norwich City Hall to protest against the Western (or Wensum) Link - an infrastructure that is scheduled to be built by 2029 between the A47 and A1067.
This £273.9m link has been decided after many complaints of rat-running and congestion in small communities of Norwich, given the green light by the Department for Transport in October 2023.
However, many environmentalists are concerned about the future of the super-colony of rare Barbastelle Bats which were recently found, and the construction of the Link will affect their habitat.

A bat survey was done ,when they built the new housing opposite me 200 homes.Were told by the bat people they would loose a certain type of bat.But they still built it.Funny how things jump the queue when the government wants to do it.Once there were field's.Now there are homes that the locals can't afford.Including some bat's.Build build build turn a once lush country into one big housing estate,if they had there way.
