Peg Entwistle threw herself from the letter H of the Hollywood sign, and the whole first verse is written with Hs everywhere! Genius songwriting! (and dang, best screams ever)

Amigo no se de que hablas. Todo el disco es igual. Es como una lasagna. En todo el transcurrir del disco tiene el mismo gusto. Monótono. No tomaron ningún riesgo.

@@AndeuX79 Definetly not man, composition-wise is the most impressive album i've heard from them... Sometimes the vocals can feel a bit off but it really doesn't bother me. Every riff of every song in this album is super unique and very thought out, i belive that's why it doesn't feel as if they took that many risks, the instrumental part must have taken a very long time to perfect, but yes, it does not sound as experimental as some of the other albuns. Rody's vocals have never sounded better (in my opinion, of course)

Musically I love this song, but the lyrics are what really get me. As someone who struggles with depression and ideation, it's so fucking real; I can't get through this song without at least tearing up if I'm listening even casually. "Take from me this body, it's all that I have left" and the voice it's said in are fucking etched in my memory forever.

Can't stop replaying the "45 feet through the air" section at 2:38. Such a haunting description running above one of their tastiest melodic motifs.

Looks like this song is about Peg Entwistle - a woman that jumped to her death from the Hollywood sign in the early 1930's.

The origin story was already defined in a previous comment. But I first interpreted this song as an acknowledgement of women falling into drug and addiction habits that led to prostitution, and eventually suicide. I know of two young women that this story happened to, one only lived a mile down the road from me. PTH songs are always timeless and can be interpreted on different levels from different perspectives according to the listener.

This one's about Peg Entwistle, I think - the "I'm afraid I'm a coward. I'm sorry for everything" line is a direct quote from her suicide note, per my brief research.
