Proton Persona MC2 - Follow Me Home Lamp Tutorial

I'm still undecided to get this car or honda city. Do you enjoy driving this car? Ever consider other options in the same segment like city or vios? Any other issues you face after the previous 6months usage video? Btw, thanks for the upload, hopefully you'll cover more in the future.

Hi bro, yes i really enjoy driving the car. I mean for a car this price, it actually drives quite well, better than what i expected. But of course interms of the look, i prefer japanese cars more. The persona design is just outdated. ahaha. But the interior is nice i have to give proton that. The leatherette seats perghhh terbaik. And the Hello Proton feature is also quite useful. The handling is also good. But for most people the reason why they get this car is because of its value. I mean for a car under 60k, this is probably the most bang for the buck car you can get out there. But of course if you can afford the city or vios then i guess it's better to go for japanese cars IMO. Interms of reliability and design wise, i think japanese cars are still better. Since i have driven the persona mc2 for about 6 months now there are no major issues apart from the issues that i've addressed previously in my video. I think the persona is a good value proposition.

Hi thanks for the tips. I got the persona recently. I found that when turning on the wiper and if we stop the car or low rpm. The wiper will change to intermittent stage automatically. Is it the dedault function? Do you have such experience? Thanks for sharing .

Hi there. First of all congratulations on getting the proton persona. And for your question, so far i’ve not experienced the problems you mentioned. So i am not that sure. Perhaps you can get them checked the next time you visit the service centre?

It is a default function. Same as most conti cars. Once start driving again it will return back to normal speed.

Hello bro. Untuk issue ni saya pernah terbaca dlm ruangan comment dulu pasal ada bunyi longgar tp kalau tak silap saya benda tu kat pintu belakang. Perlu ketatkan skru ka apa saya tak ingat tp saya rasa ia berkaitan dgn pintu.

I think they know the feature, just that probably they don't feel the need to explain it to customers because they assume most customers know this feature as it is a common feature with modern cars. But that's okay, if they don't explain it, customers can come to my youtube channel to learn more about the car :)

Thanks for the vid! Out of curiosity, if you leave the headlamp switch in auto, does the follow me home function automatically turn on when you park and turn off the engine at night/in a dark area?

If you leave the switch in auto, the follow me lamp won't turn on when you off the engine. It has to go through a sequence (auto--->off). The final switch destination has to be on "off" setting for the follow me lamp to be activated after the engine is turned off.

Yes, according to the proton persona spec sheet, they do have the follow me home lamp on the executive model as well. But the activation steps might be different because the executive variant don't have auto headlamps.

@@wahco008 actually it's hard to give an accuracate figure. Different people will get different results. Because of the way people drive. Some people go hard on the throttle. Some are lighter. And for me i use the eco mode most of the time so i guess i can get extra miles. But roughly a full tank should be able to go atleast 500k, atleast with the new proton persona coz they said the new persona is 30% more fuel efficienc compared to the previous model.
