Kia picanto major dandi is that they missed the side turn indictor lights on side mirrors and not included it in the fenders too and made it prone to accidents. I escaped a major accident due to this and the driver of picanto was not aware that it lacks the indicators on sides. He thought that I can see his indicators being driving adjacent to it.

agreed, thats a big design flaw. They shuold either give side view mirrors with repeaters, or add repeaters on fenders.

I have Suzuki and gone to their Authorized dealer only once because they are so expensive in service, a common man can not afford and I think these are the tactics so they can exploit their customers easily.

Good review! Same group launched FAW V2, overall a good price value proposition. Yet, i have horrible experience when it comes to claiming Warranty claim at 12,750 kms, nasty dealers and even worse workshop staff. Buyers are not going to get warranty claims even for parts claimed under three years. 150,000kms warranty is more to ensure customer continues to visit showroom and pays exuberant bills for oil change etc. Regardless of price point and features, am going to stay away from this company.

I agree, and because we have no consumer watchdog the PKDM auto manufacturers get away with it. With such exuberant prices of new and not very well known brands I wonder if it is a good choice to trust them over the japanese/korean cars who infact have better dealer presence.

@@dabbay i recently got major work done on a 2007 Honda City steermatic. To my pleasant surprise, EVERY part was available with at least three options in terms of price point. Mechanic understood the car well, no 2nd trip to workshop for any issue. The car is now good for at least 80/100 k kms. Consumers can look into the option buying used cars (nomajor accident) and simply install new parts wherever required, costs a lot less....

Good reviews by you. I don't like saga shape so don't go for it. Alsavin manual i think a better choice . do you think manual is more reliable as you say that automatic alsavin may be some chances of risk as new transmossion.

yes I blv manual alsvin is better than the DCT, the DCT is a 50/50 chance it can be great but mostly DCT problems are very expensive and clutch after a couple of years are not included in the warranty

Dear @dabby, I booked this car (Saga Ace) and waiting for delivery. Before buying this car Proton offers me a test drive. During the test drive, I was not able to understand its gear transmission system. I just want to know how it's switchgear. I just have to press the paddle and after some RPM it will auto change gear or I have to lift up my feet and again need to press for the next gear? Previously I have Toyota Passo 2nd Generation and in that case, I just put it in "D" mode, and nothing else it automatically changes gears after some RPM. The last thing during driving can I change Drive mode to Sport mode? Or I have to stop it first and then put it in Sport mode? In Passo, I have "B" mode to drive down from the hills. Saga doesn't offer this model. How to achieve this in Saga? 😊 Expecting a detailed response from you! Thanks & Regards.

Just keep it in D, the gear will shft itself. if u want to go to sports mode just move the lever to sports mode and thats it, you dnt need to stop the car for it. down hill is the same with D, you just have to press the brake or gas pedal. Only to go to reverse or park, u need to put the car to complete stop. when u get the car its best to read the manual as well, as all cars are different. :)

One thing you need to keep in mind is if you are accelerating hard, gear shifts will be done on high rpms. If you accelerate progressively, it will shift gears much early in low rpms. Maybe this is the reason you were confused with transmission. In sports mode, it will always shift gears in high rpms so for low noise and better fuel economy, better drive in D mode.

جناب ہم اس وارنٹی کو FAW V2 کے معاملہ میں بھگت چکے ہیں۔ FAW V2 گاڑی کو پاکستان میں یہی الحاج گروپ ہی لایا اور اسی طرح تین سال یا 60 ہزار کلومیٹر کی وارنٹی دی۔ اور جب چیزیں خراب ہوئی تو پتہ چلا کہ کسی چیز کی ایک سال کی وارنٹی ہے تو کسی کی ڈیڑھ سال کی ہے ۔ اور یوں وارنٹی ایک سبز باغ ثابت ہوئی۔
