Playing Prototype after years now at ultra Wilde 1440p by 3440p and it’s just amazing. Love how Manhattan involves over the chapters starting with zero infected all the way up to the military taking control with 90% city infected near the end its just madness. The amount of npcs is also pretty mind-blowing as well. The Non infected areas or military controlled you’ll find waves of npcs walking around the streets with vehicles a solid amount driving on the roads but once you walk into an infected area you’ll start to see waves of infected with hundreds of random npcs caught in the middle with vehicles driving like mad trying to get away Ultimate madness. It’s even more brutal when the tanks show up jut randomly firing into a crowd of infected while there’s random civilians and vehicles getting caught in the crossfire sometimes even the military troops. One of my favourite things to do is just walk about as a random npc running about one ground level or a solider shooting at the infected.

Now that I don't get. Prototype had a story, and I thought it was told rather brilliantly. Even though you could argue that the story was weaker in prototype, it was told much more efficiently (with finding out more of the details by consuming selected people). But what really sets the prototype apart from infamous, is the gameplay. You feel show much more powerful and mobile in Prototype that it is ridiculous. I really don't see why Infamous should be regarded as so much better than Prototype.

I agree, but blood goes under the presentation of the game, the graphics (not saying it has bad graphics). The presentation of a game is what makes people turn their head and take a secound look. that is why blood sorta has something to do. But again. I shouldn't be a factor in gaming. (just wanted to get my word out)

Personally I don't feel as if Prototype and InFamous should even be compared. The genre and the setting is the same, but from there the difference is huge. But that's just me.

True, Infamous 2 has a really interesting story, which is better than prototype or prototype 2. But I really don't play prototypes for the story, even though the story bits are done really well. I guess I'm not that good of a gamer, but I thought Prototype and especially Prototype 2 were challenging enough on harder difficulties. I prefer the Prototypes freedom to use any power you wanted to defeat hard enemies, rather than having one way of defeating a harder enemy. Again, just my opinion too.

Prototype and inFAMOUS are only vaguely similar. Now, Prototype and Spider-man: Web of Shadows are almost the SAME GAME! The only difference is one has Spider-man and other Marvel characters the other has original characters with their own abilities.

never played infamous but prototype was pretty fun C: The story wasn't great but you could at least kinda understand why he did what he did. The gameplay on the other hand was hilarious XD mindless, violent, button-mashing fun :D I just hope Hellers military background isn't too prominent in the story :/

Being powerful is nice, but a game is much more rewarding if you are challenged. I don't want to be nearly unbeatable. When I get a new ability, it should allow you to use it in order to figure out how to solve a situation, not just be there for the sake of being another cool looking move. Plus Infamous 2 has a more interesting story, characters and environment Just my opinion, though.

Prototype was a lot of fun, but once you unlock everything, it just gets boring really fast. Even some of the combos, like X and B, are really awkward. I haven't played inFamous, but I hope to.

Yea, and given the scenario its a pity. Alex mercer was an killing machine, an genetic error and a superior being with an urge to kill. There is a good story in there, a conflict between the few human qualities fading away in mercer and the monster taking him over.

Hve not tried Prototype, but I can say that InFamus was rather disapointing, fair enugh it was story, but it was not any good. The gameplay got insanely repetetive, what realy messed it up for me was the second part of the game when you got to a new city or whatever and it was exactly the same.. Infamus was a realy bad experiance for me, always wanted to try Prototype, but im scared it will be the same thing.

The biggest difference between inFamous and Prototype isn't that there is blood in one and not the other. They are actually quite different from each other in both style and gameplay. Personally, I think inFamous is a much better game. Prototype 2 does look cool though.
