Prototype - War Event 04: Raid *Platinum Medal*

I noticed that when the small infected spawn they tend to spawn in groups in the area where you first started (right in front of the building). What I did was using the L2 Trick to slow down time, while staying away from that spawning area when the hunters and small units come from. That way they spawn in groups and it's easier to take them out with AoE and it's easier to aim that way. I got 1:24:9 after about 10 tries doing that. Hope my tip helps.

I finish it on 1:15 total time after 50 retries its pure luck to be honest try not get hurt by hunters or zombies and spam (square) on locked targets i did it this way finaly that was my last platinum medal for Pt trophy!! Wish you guys good luck you'll need it!!

This was just a nightmare to complete and so much reliant on RNG. The things I did that helped: The small minions: stay where they spawn, kick them with triangle / Y instead of rocket launcher, no knockback, and you clean them easily (and again, if RNG fails you and they spread, shit luck) The tank spawn time and placement changes so much, the run I got the plat, it spawned at the same time as the 2nd wave of hunters, and on the same location, so it was perfect

Good shit, I just picked prototype up on sale not long ago and I'm trying to 100% it, the 'kick the little guys' definitely helped me complete this, I got to stay close to their spawn and clean them out and shoot once I launched them away, I got it with a second to spare.

@@we-must-live2 years after that, this event is entirely rng. I’d you ignore the hunters attacking the tank, it will die, if you try saving it, you’ll damage it, which kills it. So not only are you hoping for good rng for the tank to spawn early. You’re also hoping for great rng that the hunters will ignore it

One of the few events I couldn't beat. Tank spawns completely at random, runners keep sending you flying from your own explosions, and the fact that camera and targeting controls are poorly designed doesn't help either. Oh well. At least I beat the dev time on Close Contact.

In my experience you just have to keep the Hunters' attention. As long as they're focused on you, the tank is free to clean up.

The luck in this video is just unreal... my tank, if it spawns at all, generally only fires once or twice in the whole round, usually only at one runner, and always hits me with it. Sickening.

@RWACU Thanks a lot, this little trick actually worked! Took me a couple of tries, but finally I made it in exactly 1.45... I like Prototype a lot but some things, like the targeting system and some of the challenges suck big time. Not beating a challenge because you missed the goal with 1/10 of a second really sucks. I actually missed gold at this event a couple of times with 1.45.1... And then you not even get some goodies for beating the challenges, like a new outfit or something.

Great videos. This event was extremely hard to beat but after you get the hang of it I would recommend the following advice. Once you dispatch the first set of hunters, jump and keep selecting targets firing in 2 round bursts b4 switching targets. Once the next wave of hunters appears try to get in the middle of them (without getting stuck against the building), the tank will come over to you since they remained focused on you and do a lot more damge with them all grouped in one spot. Try it.

Just clocking in at 1:17 its all reliant on destroying the hunters and whether or not the tanks spawn I found myself constantly evading the infected with R2 and just laying down grenade launcher fire on the hunters until the tanks arrived. Very difficult to get plat time Platinum time: 1:25

To everybody who's having problems with this event and still can't beat it in under 1:25 mins even with all the good videos here I recommend using your artillery strikes on the waves of infected that respawn (especially on the last two hunter waves). I just tried it (since nothing else worked for me, not even the slow motion trick) and got it on my first try quite easily. I recommend this approach to anybody whos having big problems with this event.

FINALLY got it to work! The previous tanks weren't very helpful, but this one time the tank I got was ON THE BALL! He/it/she/whoever was killing half the enemy troops. I was getting swarmed and knocked by evolved Infected (Not Hunters) and the tank took them out. When the second to last wave, the one with 7-8 hunters came around, I killed 2 or 3 to defend the tank and then I defended myself while the tank did the rest. The last 2-3 were easy. I got 1:10 or 1:11 thanks to that beauty.

Ok I had all but 1 infected killed at 1:00 in and another didn't spawn. I ran around waiting and a hunter didn't spawn until after 1:25. I hate this event.

I heard of this method of tapping the targeting trigger over and over to constantly be in a slow mo state. Somehow, this worked for me. I only used it on hunters however. I somehow killed the last 6 hunters in about 5 seconds using the method and netted a score of 1:23 something.

I got 1.02. No joke just stay in the middle where the hunters spawn they ended up glitching for when I started spamming the x buttonand dont lock on for the runners that knock you down, just spam the hell of x. Thats my best strategy. It's a lot of rng it took my like 20 tries.

I did it at 1:20,5 WITHOUT the tank. The only adivce i can give is tap the attack button like crazy and move to the place where the tank is supposed to spawn. From there u can take down loads of hunters before they can even get close. Seriously it matters a LOT how fast u tap the attak button (square for PS3).

haha i was using the same strategy but couldn't get as fast a time but then all of a sudden i got a pretty fast time so i guess this helped in a weird way. I killed the ones that begin behind you and the attacked the others but fell into the water and like 3 hunters jumped in and died which was awesome and then stayed towards the same end he did and the tank spawned there and drove to the middle and unloaded on the hunters right when they spawned.

iv just attempted this 15 or so times, iv had a tank ONCE, It took less than 20 seconds for it to be destroyed and from what i could tel it dint connect a single shot to any enemy. This is the LAST one i need platinum, WHY is it so impossible for me to even get under 1.38. Iv yet to get to the 1.25 mark with any less than 5 hunters still alive (or yet to spawn)

1:24:5 So much rage for half a second. You need the tank to spawn next to you as early as possible, not get knocked down or cornered by hunters too many times, not blow yourself up by shooting a grenade at a runner that's 2 foot away from you, spam LT and X like Michael J Fox in a cockpit and pray that the last hunter spawns before 01:19:00 to get your shot off. The targeting's a joke, the AI is a joke, and the controls for this game are a joke.

This is hands down the worst War event in the game. The spawns are all screwed up, half the time the tank never shows and when it does it seems like it has a drunk driver, and your dinky little grenade launcher is barely suitable for the mission. I've gotten Platinum on this event, but it annoys me to no end that doing so is almost entirely luck.

I wouldn't care if they hadn't made this crap a requirement for 100% like how the modern Spider-Man game didn't or Hell even Crash Bandicoot Warped way back then with it's Platinum Ranks.
