Jaz Gulati - Protrusive Dental Podcast

4 ай бұрын

Is this the death of composite layering and the tedious cusp-by-cusp build up? This episode of Fast Modelling Composite Technique might just change how you place posterior composites for good!
I know so many of us have reservations about bulk fill composites - when I was exposed to the Fast Modelling technique in 2016 I had too many doubts. All those doubts were cleared in this 90 minute episode - grab your onions Protruserati!
Protrusive Dental Pearl: Composite does not like to be dragged - consider using composite brushes or a cutting action, as opposed to a dragging action, especially if using the Fast Modelling Bulk Technique.

Jaz another great one! I cannot thank you enough for your videos. Being young dentist out, it’s easy to fall out of love with what we do. But anytime I’m feeling deflated if I watch one of your videos that passion and drive return immediately! Please keep it up Sahib Ji

I attended one of Dr Tadfi's workshops last year and it completely changed how I do composite anatomy. I feel like I can now do it better AND faster, which is great, because usually you have to pick one.

Since you are making videos talking to each other, it would be better if you would show some pictures some cases from everyday work routine, it would be more productive and fun.

Hi Doc, yes I agree. The reason I don't is because this is primarily a podcast that should be easy to follow along on Spotify/Apple. I take your feedback- it would involve a lot more work but if its just clinical videos and walkthroughs you are after I already offer that as a paid product on my platform Protrusive guidance

For the part where you guys said we could temporize the tooth after building the wall- is it just to etch bond and continue? I worry abt the bond being better without loosing the isolation and saliva contact and coming back?

You can use both total etching and selective etching methods with most universal adhesives

thanks Doc. I think the main takeaway for our colleagues is to read the directions of the manufacturer. Sending regards, Jaz

What brand of bulk fill Composite material do you use? To my understanding some of them do keep color resistance, or theyre prone to color change

you're right - the reason for this is that I never want to alienate the Spotify / audio listeners. But to follow this up with a clinical demo is on the cards- thanks!
