As satirical as this is , it's actually quite true la hahah. The rich uncles that I know are exactly like this. They'd rather eat at coffee shops and say it's nicer and when they do go to a restaurant , it's only for work or family gatherings. They know not to spend on themselves but rather on the people around them . I know one in particular that stays in a HDB but sleeps in the living room as he said he cannot tahan aircon and as long as his kids and wife can enjoy is good enough. He uses the standard Xiaomi android phone and doesn't wear a watch as to him , it's good enough too. One thing as well that he said that really hit me in the heart was that when i asked him , how come he doesn't want to enjoy life with all the wealth that he has , he said to me , he is already enjoying . At his age , there's not much that he can do . Seeing his family happy is happiness enough for him. And that the money he earns is for his kids to have fun and live a good life as he didn't enjoy that when he was growing up . He also said that when he was young , he used to spend money recklessly on pointless things but as he grew older , he realised it was all temporary . He said that , being able to watch your family and friends grow up happy , is the true happiness that he wants .

I think this episode is better than the pilot. Ep 1's jokes were a bit of a miss for me personally. The plot here is simpler and easier to follow. I expected something to happen to Victoria on the bus. The outcome and character development were good and natural. It's not easy starting a series. I think this is a job well done in the right direction. All the best!

Damn, Gurmit kills it in every single scene. Pls la, have some mercy I've choked on food from laughing too hard. It's a beautiful thing when 3 generations can watch a show and laugh at the same jokes hysterically. My family loved watching this series as a nightcap. I hope Gurmit does more work with Annette, perfect casting all round as they say.

When SM mall of Asia opened in the Philippines, i saw a man in a wheelchair wearing a simple t-shirt and slippers .. he has with him this guy who pushes him around...
