Prove that the union of the power sets is a subset of the power set of the union

At first I thought we could prove this by just assuming that each set has some elements for A= {a} or B= {b} then we could show that p(A)= {} and {a} and p(AUB)= {a} {b } and {} but the subsets in p(a) cannot be shown in a union so this method probably won’t work
