This is good information and very true and I have confirmed for myself. For instance if you look at stores that sell one specific item like jeans for instance. You can definitely see that in stores that list the similar items or in the similar category and subcategory every day they definitely have a boost in search And sell more. Your brother and yourself your store is very impressive you guys should definitely be proud of yourself via amount of success you have achieved and your hard work and dedication it really speaks for itself.. 👍

This is true. I used to sell shoes and have since switched to clothes and my shoe sales have dropped to basically zero. I try to have at least 1 item from each category to list everyday. I have noticed my sales are even across the board. It works

The issue like myself and a lot of other resellers would have with this algorithm would be a lot of use aren't a niche seller. I go to yardsales, flea markets, etc and find all kinds of different items. I find a great deal on a watch one week and not buy another for 2 months.

I’m new at this also; using your sourcing methods. I only have 6 items after one shopping day. I am going to use jride flips (KZbin)strategy of listing 3 items daily to start. As I list 3 daily I will try to source 6 daily. This allows for time off eventually; I will have drafts which I will post daily ready to go for days off. I think consistency with listing will help.

I could tell everyone pretty simply how to beat it. List to detailed listings, have 100% positive feedback and ship in a day. As long as you do those 3 things you will tickle the algorithm heavy.

Cool video! Is there a way to set the auto recreate to only recreate items that have been on eBay for a longer period of time like over 6 months? Or does it just recreate all listings that are about to end on eBay?

Currently it does not have a setting to do the oldest listings first although I have talked with them about offering that setting soon. Unless you have a massive store it does end up catching all the old listings since it’s doing 100 items per day. They had it set to recreate right before the item would auto relist on ebay to save people from using all their ebay store allowed listing up fast. I did explain to them we need to be able to choose the older listings first because some of us aren’t concerned about exceeding our allowed listings per ebay store.

We do not have minimum amounts. We allow all offers and we also counter all of the low offers. We never just decline.

Since you can’t manually select which items are recreated, we focus on recreating our oldest items first to ensure nothing sits too long. It's also important to list in every subcategory to drive traffic across the board. While the auto-recreate feature is helpful, we’ve seen significantly better results by taking a more hands-on approach.

Algos are simply filters. The mistake people make is trying to operate a business like a cockroach would. Looking for holes to slip through. What a poverty mindset. The video here is simply saying if you are not active your sales will filter to your level of engagement. That's it. Problem is most sellers believe in the something for nothing game as they are taught by the people running the World. No better control grid has ever been conceived than this one.

This is why almost every video on here is focused on buying buying listing listing. Few have time to wait a year to pay their bills. Ebay likes it this way because their game is turns, the faster the better at any price. Work work work.Their scripts reward frantic activity.

Totally get where you're coming from! eBay doesn't publicly share their full algorithm, which makes it tricky to provide a definitive source. Most of the insights come from years of experience and trial and error within the community. While we can't see the algorithm itself, patterns in sales and listing behavior over time help us understand what works. Always open to hearing different perspectives though!

If you follow the ebay engineering blogs the outlines can be found. The info you seek is of course proprietary. It's really no secret though. Do the work get paid. Secrets, hacks, tricks and outright cheating and stealing are boat anchors to poverty. Simply cleaning up your ebay listing station and keeping it organized will pay back in spades instead of some temporary hole in the selling process (real or created). Here's the big reveal...the real conmen understand the best way to keep people cornered is to convince them "holes" exist. That if you can just find that secret passage you will be rich!. Common narratives in many entertainment offerings. Everybody at one time or another has been addicted (yes addicted via Dopamine) with a "glory hole". That killer deal. These addicts then spend their time seeking another hit. Literally buried in wealth and opportunities they would rather get a BOLO than simply do better work. All of us are party to this poverty thinking loop. The way out is to see it for what it is and reject it. There is 100x more money sitting in the comps section of the ebay website to mine than any "secret" will ever pay out from. Simply buying any and all XXXl sizes will 2-3x your sales...is that a good enough hack for people? nope. Too much work to know brown is the color when buying handbags like 2x better.

so if i understand what you are saying if i'm not listing in every sub category daily ebay doesn't send me traffic to the items in that sub category. This makes so much sense because i did notice that the items that i list daily like jeans they sell way better than my items that i only list occasionally like shirts. I thought that jeans were just more popular than shirts but now i see what you are saying. So ebay rewards listing every day but the traffic goes to the items in the sub categories that you are listing in everyday it does not go to other items in your store that you aren't listing regularly. So you are writing down all your sub categories and if you didn't list a brand new item in one of your sub categories you go to auto posher and recreate a new listing from an existing listing so now ebay will continue to give you traffic to those items. Oh my gosh i have noticed this happening in my store and just didn't figure it out. I think Im going to list at least 5 items in every sub category daily. such a good tip thanks for sharing.

Judging from your video yesterday, your monthly numbers are the same as they are ever month. Your theory is not valid, sales are THE same. You are selling more womens, as you said, as you are listing more. So theory is really, list more, sell more. OK.....tell us something new............relist old items, see old items sell. OK.

Our numbers are close to the same month to month, which we believe was pretty good as we come out of “summer slowdown” and the economy not being ideal. Also, we are daily selling almost as many items as we list so our store is not growing as fast as it did in previous years. We think that has more to do with our numbers not growing as drastically, rather than listing in every sub category not working. We have noticed a higher variety of items selling due to the strategy discussed in the video but the amount of items we have available is relatively similar month to month hence our numbers being somewhat similar. Plus if you wait for the month of October what sold video you will see an even higher increase in sales as we are up this month
