No load boards for brokers. Only way to get shippers is to make the phone call and prospect!

When becoming a freight broker do I have to pick a niche 1st or can I broker for any carriers?

Pick a few commodities or industries you’re interested in. Prospect daily in groups. For instance call only that commodity each day. The niche will rise to the surface when you find it.

​@@michelleapple1214 that's a pretty common response from a 1st phone call. On average it will take a few phone calls before they are open and honest. We've got a lot of clients that have onboarded a handful of clients in Sept. As the rates fell in the market so did the service. There are a lot of opportunities out there to provide capacity and better service!
