But what if a good person goes through a terrible trial, like Job? A true but less mature Christian might show quite some behavior that may not be pretty. Curious for your thoughts. I know some fellow Christians, like Job's friends, might be too quick with their judgement. God bless you sister

@@arthurkoene5592 oh I love this question! If you think of faith like plants in a garden, it really helps. During a plants growth, it will sometimes start to grow fruit really early. It is best to prune (or cut off) these fruits and prune the first few branches. This way, the plant focuses it's energy on growing a stronger base and trunk. Then it can withstand greater force from weather. So during this time, it will suddenly have no fruit and very few branches. The pruning can be a hard and ugly stage. But you will see new growth happening! In a person's faith, God has to prune them. He has to cut off fruit and overgrowth to allow you to grow a firmer foundation. Sometimes this "cuts off" the spiritual fruit for a moment. But if you are patient and ask God to show you the person with HIS eyes, you will see that He is at work in their life and doing something new in them. In a true Christian, you will always see at least hints of fruit. Even in tragedy, you'll see moments where they are still loving, gentle, and faithful. Sometimes those moments are fleeting in trial, but that's where prayer and discernment come in. Hope that helps! Thank you for boldly asking the hard questions!
