For my code to work I had to replace "builder" with "create" as the parameter for ChangeNotifierProvider. Think provider updated or something.

Simple take input from user. Pass it to TaskModel and save it to todoList that's in provider. Why another state?

I think you are talking about different concepts here. check out shared preferences and refresh tokens for auth session management

If you think shared preferences is not safe. then use Hive database in Flutter. It provides strong encryption!
