I got into skateboarding at the most bizarre time haha. I started skating 2 and a half months ago, and I started watching Braille (mostly because that's just what showed up when looking for tutorials on youtube), after a few weeks I started to actually enjoy watching their videos and even felt like I was "getting to know them" (as in, their personality, at least on-camera personality). So, I continued watching, have seen almost every video in the last month or two, plus a lot of older videos as well. When I saw the video of the Braille Warehouse being destroyed I was very shocked, as there wasn't any kind of warning about it. That's made me start questioning Braille/Aaron Kyro. Then more and more videos about Braille/Aaron kept showing up in my feed, soon found out he was a Scientologist and I immediately unsubscribed from Braille's channel. But I only found out after Aaron posted the "I messed up" video. When I watched that video, I actually sided with Aaron, I was like "yeah, skateboarding needs to grow, have a positive place, etc.", but the next day is when I found out he was in Scientology. I just realized that this video came out in April, before I even started skating. Crazy that this information has been out there for a few months already and most people either didn't know or didn't care enough until after the warehouse got destroyed and Ricky got blocked/"disconnected" from Aaron/Braille. Overall, just a wild time to get into skateboarding, especially in the KZbin space

Dang can I get more info? I used to be a Braille member back from 2015-2017 and a bit of 2019 as well. We all knew Aaron and lance were Scientologists, they kept it very secret though and nobody ever spoke to them about it because they wouldn’t. I actually was interested in the rumors back then and asked Aaron and lance one day in the whole big Braille group chat we had about all the rumors and some of the stuff I’d read online about Scientology, and shortly after I was removed from Braille and nobody ever really responded to my messages or invited me out to skate again lol. not really, Aaron Kyro did a LOT for skateboarding, it's anybody's opinion whether it was a good change or not, but it's not like skating became a scientology hub. And even if it did, it doesn't seem like one of those dangerous cults where people drink koolaid. This is purely the case of us, the audience, getting too curious about what someone does in their bedroom. Something like, a reputable pastor, always preaches the right things, is kind and generous to all people, but people leave him after finding out he's gay. Never once talked about sex in his church, but people dug it up anyway and are judging him for that, an inherent homophobia, even though it has nothing to do with what he does as a pastor and no matter how much good he does, some people just can't get over their homophobia. And that is the case with Braille, no matter how much good they do, they just can't get over their Scientologicalphobia or cult-phobia.

here is a video (attached) of marc silber interviewing his son lance about the braille success. the "s" word is mentioned nowhere, lol. pretty funny since the parents have been in since late 60's/early 70's. the kids born in were all raised in the cult. somebody who claims to be a friend of lance mentioned on reddit that he thought lance left to go work with his brother at Bridge Publications in LA. i didn't know the kids personally, but i do know somebody "Silber" was on a sea org member list way back. at this point i'm thinking it's blake who must have been one of the kids. pretty sure you have to be sea org to work at Bridge. my first thought on why lance may have left would be to do OT levels. that can take a long while, i heard. personally never got there myself, just knew a crapload of them back in the day. but if he went to work at Bridge, does this mean he joined the sea org? yikes i hope not! if you work on staff, you have to sign a contract for so many years. (it wasn't this way when i was on staff in the 70's.) if you're in the sea org, the contract is for a billion years. no joke. but staff are paid so pathetically they need not just free government healthcare, they need an additional job to actually pay the bills. this is where working at Braille would come in. sea org are considered volunteers, not employees. they are lucky if they get $50 a week as a stipend for ALL their needs. the only thing free in the sea org is crappy housing and food. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJuqloabj9yYmac

I personally feel like this is 100% just trying to create drama for views. I don't really know much about scientology and I kinda doubt you do either. I assume there is a difference between being a director and being the leader, so technically he didn't lie. Sure he could have been less vague but I feel like he doesn't really want to talk about it too much but not avoid it altogether. Which to me is understandable considering the stigma it has. And he's definitely kept it away from braille. As far as trying to get kids to join, pretty much every "religion" does the same thing and as far as I can tell is possible you just made that up. A person's beliefs doesn't necessarily make them a good or bad person and what he does with his time and money is up to him.

I feel like your stretching it pretty hard there's no proof he's manipulating kids, he's definitely not using his platform to do it. Dan is obviously butthurt about the whole copyright thing. Even Nigel made sure to let everyone know how good of a guy Arron is during the Carlos stuff. I agree scientology definitely seems like a scam or a cult. But I also don't think just because he's involved in it he's a bad person. Maybe not the smartest person. I see him as more of a victim of it than the cult leader. I'm just giving my opinion as someone who isn't offended by someones beliefs.

So are you trying to claim that the Braille skateboarding team and crew are trying to recruit Young folks into scientology? If their actions are not nefarious towards any other individuals why in the hell does it matter what their choice of religion or lifestyle may be?
