I've had this HU for about 4 months now. I love it. It's a little slow when connecting to BT. But that's not a big deal for me. There is a 13 band EQ. There's a lot of other options that a lot of other HU don't have. There's time alignment, which is great. Plus much more. RCA jacks for everything sub too. Blue tooth cable. You have to find a place for the cord plugin. But overall I like it. O, I one thing I've learned from the stereo shop. If you have an amp/amps. Let the amps crossovers do the work. Don't use both. Put the radio crossovers and put those to through. Don't use the gain up/down to adjust the amps gain. You may damage your amp by sending it extra power. Set the gain on the amp. No bass booster, loudness. You can play with the other stuff that adds affects to the sound. Like listening area. So on.

You do not have to hook up the parking brake to get dvd player to work. Just splice wire and ground it.

I’m thinking about getting this stereo bc it has the option to play dvds, not many double dins have the option to play dvds. Not that I watch dvds much but I like that it has the option.

So no android or apple play means no GPS option??? As frequently as people jailbreak game systems and other PCs etc im really surprised nobody has figured a hack or jailbreak for these systems! Why have a double din if you can't have a GPS?

I have that same exact radio but once I put a DVD it plays it but when I try to hit play on the screen it will not do anything do I need a remote.

Yes. Just video playback will not work without hooking up the parking brake wire on this kenwood

Sounds like a wiring issue. Check the yellow constant 12v wire. That is also known as the “memory” wire. I’d that isn’t connected correctly, you lose your settings.
