He TKL sounded quite convincing at the start that he is there to help Singaporeans but towards the end it reveal a scorned man the way he distanced himself from PAP that he was with them only for 7 years. The public is not convinced that why he only get 4% of the Presidential votes in 2015 and only 14% of the Presidential of the votes in 2020 despite being seen as the sole opposition. Having said that although his opposition to the PAP is due to him being scorned and sidelined by PAP, it is good for Singapore.

When I saw a pic of TKL puttting his hands @ his granddaughter's chest, during his PE race, to me, he was/is nothing but another scoundrel, notwithstanding that the girl's father who is TKL's son approved. Maybe this picture should be shown to the girl when she is in what was then called Pre-U class & then find out what her reaction would be. I just wanna admit that I've NOT viewed the complete video. But even then, I'm hard put to find ANY issue he had +vely contributed during his younger days as Income's GM.

TKL! The most under understood or misunderstood man. Doesn’t speak well, but packed with substance! Down to earth to extent of being “mischievous” at times, like most of us commoners! Sadly rejected by many commoners due to his not “model son in law” qualities! Forms over substance or substance over form? Sorely missed especially now!

I can understand why mas does not respond to TKL then. The mini bond era was when boomers were escorted to "bank relationship managers" to put their FDs to unknown unit trusts rampantly. It happened at a time when the country was trying to build a financial hub.

A good interview. SG has come so far and so developed that to maintain its current level of living is not easy. We need to revisit our assumptions and also whether people can move as fast as gov policy given the aging population. Many can't catch up with fast pace n costs of living.

Given the complexity, technicalities, finance knowhow involved in such deals, is sg parliament had no Opposition MPs, will Bills be passed when key info is unknown or not disclosed? The young will have to pay a lot of money for public housing. You guys better wake up your ideas and ensure sg democracy is robust and realise that Trust alone is no longer sufficient to safeguard your sg future. You also need Independent Audit by non-establishment talents to hold the ruling party accountable. Its your future. Fear must end in your generation. Else good luck to you!

Tan Kin Lian mentioned that NTUC income total assets $40b of which $32b belongs to 1.7m police holders . 80% of $32b is contractual guaranteed. 20% is non guaranteed amounted to $6b So is it that foreign entity is eyeing the said $6b? Question is why that the Board was brokering the deal was not aware of this? Good faith? Bad faith? or Ugly in faith?

NTUC Enterprise operates like a holding company. NTUC Income is a biz entity. Sell NTUC Income in its totality. 78% of the proceeds go to NTUC Enterprise. Vanilla deal. Then on the other hand, get Chairman Lim Boon Heng and his core team to state how they, with the 78% payout, can fulfill the job to meet the social needs of the people in Singapore. The missing part is Boon Heng’s alternatives. Let’s hear him out. Meanwhile don’t rush the deal. Thank you.
