For the first time, I watched one of our fantastic videos with the headphones on... Just as that dog started barking: 18:15 Made me jump out of my seat. Seriously the vision of your videos is amazing but listening on headphones is next level. The footsteps on cobbles, the vaporetto engines, the gulls, the snatches of conversations... so much to see and so much listen to. Thanks again for all you fine work.

What we found to be the most beautiful parts of this video were the colors of the exposed red/orange bricks against the water of the canals. Thank you again for another stunning walk in Venice!

Once again another great video and I love seeing inside centuries old churches (when you are allowed to video inside) and the color of local markets everything is so vibrant. The quiet of the narrow walkways is very relaxing. Thank you Pro Walks. Safe travels to you and your family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! You swung the camera on Calle dei Boteri at 48:26 and gave me the shot I was looking for! You're so awesome! Thank you! Also, I love the vibrant colors of the buildings. Every time you stopped on a bridge to look down a waterway or in a campo to look around, every shot stood by itself as a photograph that could be blown up into a poster. Absolutely beautiful! The architecture, the history, the mood, could all be felt through your lens. Now I will have to take a day trip from Milan to Venice and spend 7-8 hours of exploring. I cannot wait!!

Yeah, I understand why everyone wants to take pictures...but then I also think that they might be missing out if the camera is always in front of their face.....like me. :) I just ready about that street, Calle dei Boteri. Sad to see the increase in graffiti throughout the city. Where are these idiots buying the spray paint?! On your next post of the city, could you pan up to the corners of the buildings and point out the directional signs along the route showing how clearly marked it is to the Stazione, Rialto, San Marco? Too many folks fear they're going to get lost.

I would be interested to know if you knew where you were going in this video, or did you just follow your nose and hope for the best? Missed the map with check points at the start , as usual great videos a pleasure to watch, maybe 360 vids in the future? 👍👍👍👍👍😊🇬🇧
@ProWalks5 жыл бұрын
Hey bigjobby11, yeah I try my best to plan things out on Google Earth before I go. I already had it all mapped out but the route usually changes as I go. I had been to Venice a couple times before, once in 2010 and again in 2015, so I was at least familiar with the general layout of the city. I've been wanting to buy a 360 camera but haven't decided if I want to take my channel that direction or not...plus the cameras are not cheap so I'll holding off a bit. I would definitely like to go walk Pompeii and Herculaneum with a 360 camera.

Generally well done, but why go to Fish market and Rialto Bridge again ? You covered both of those in a previous video.
@ProWalks5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that last video of the market and bridge I just threw in there mainly because I never walked both sides if the grand canal in my 1-6 videos. That last video also showed a different atmosphere than this one. Anyway, this video, part 4, was originally supposed to be the only market and bridge walk.... But it didn't turn out that way.

Your videos are always so good but this 4th part of Venice, it's as though you tired out. There wasn't nearly as much information shared about the history of places and too many places were repeated that had been seen in the earlier videos. Honestly ... how much of the bridge rialto can we take? Sorry to be at all critical, the videos are typically fantastic and I so appreciate them! Guess this one just wasn't my favorite.

Maybe too simple of comment, but if unfamiliar, people supportive of Roman Catholic Church, people in the faith, know that reverence (delay for respect if unable to genuflect) is done when altar candle is lit. Noticed right before 26:56 minutes. Signifies the Lord's Presence as the Bread of Life, the Eucharist Wafer is there having been placed in the tabernacle. People come to worship at that time to recognize Sacrifice that brings food, grace in work, strength. As videographer might help to cover the respect that does happen as asked in Holy Place by pausing at tabernacle with groundview for a moment before panning up when the candle in a tall red glass covering is lit. I would do another frame of ground before moving on as recognition of Roman Catholic site. osvnews.com/2016/03/23/the-unofficial-newcomers-guide-to-the-church/
@ProWalks5 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I'm actually not Catholic so I'm not familiar with the meaning behind everything I see in the churches. I'll try to do a bit a research before I go next time.
do you ever go into any of these shops? or eat at any of these places,like give recommendations of different places ??
@ProWalks5 жыл бұрын
Hey David, I don't when I'm walking usually. Sometimes I stop by a shop and ask if I can film but they almost always say no video. Maybe I should tell them I'm a famous KZbinr. :) ...And when I'm walking, I don't ever really take time to stop and eat. When I was in Venice I cooked eggs and toast for breakfast, ate granola bars and jerky while I walked and then cooked my own pasta for dinner. So no, I'm not the guy for restaurant recommendations. I'll leave that for another KZbinr. :) And to be honest...I'm pretty tired of Italian food. There is not a lot of variety here; pasta, fish, pizza. I prefer my wife's cooking any day.
