This song always takes me back to the best days of my life. When life was so simple and basic, your only concerns were hanging out with friends all day and there were soooo many friends back then, and you had hardly any important responsibilities. It's funny cause the futher you go on in life, your circle gets smaller and smaller. Sure, your surround yourself with new people but they dont matter as much to you now. I miss those days playing football in the street, i miss playing xbox with all my mates from high school on games like Halo 3, MW2 and shitloads others. it was 2014, 5th grade, last year of elementary school, me and my best bud would listen to edm, mostly dubstep and progressive house, during the ride on the school bus and this was one of the tracks. life was so colorful at the time, i was happy and didn't notice. at the end of the year, our teacher asked us to make a video with the class photos we had, we chose to put this song in the background since it represented, like the title says, Our Story. it is now 2021, i'm in my senior year of high school, only 5 days away from graduation, re-listening to this song hits hard. i feel like it talks to me, every sentence resembles the past. life's become grayer now, i feel like i got lost in the way of life.

For a while I avoided this song because it made me think of the memories I have made with my friends. It reminds me of our foolish innocence, our quests for alcohol driven experiences and our water tight bonds. I am in college now and it is different because we are expected to start becoming adults who are expected to be responsible 100% of the time, all the time. Yes we still have experiences that we will never forget even at old age, but knowing that we are getting older just makes all the good memories harder to look back on without thinking of the innocence that was so paralleled to our age. I just listened to this song after months of turning my shoulder to it, however if you are reading this comment just know that as you begin to age don't let societies judgement prevent you from being a little irresponsible sometimes.
