Potty training was a pain. Proximo woke me up every 3 hours crying o___0 it's like training to have a human baby. Congrats on your new husky pup!!!

yes Dubchika is right , Huskies r the kind of dogs for all athletics , if u want to own a husky u need to exercise them anytime u can and everytime its possible and if u do so then u'll have the best dog ever coz they r a wonderful companion and very playful , and if u got a Retriever also it requires exercise but not as much as huskies , and if u thinking of owning a dog think about rescue ing one from any shelter its really a good thing Good luck

One of the first tips that my breeder told us was to teach Proximo his name. Then when you call for them by name & they come, you quickly give them a treat. Definitely ask a professional breeder on other tips! Also, PetSmart does puppy training classes! I hope this helps.

@HelloMarie22 I agree. My husky Dexter (age 2 & 3/4) has 5/6 walks a day (sometimes more) and we usually spend a whole day once a week out walking or hiking. Dexter competes in agility and it is about the only thing that tires him out! He knows lots of tricks and will perform in front of a big audience such as a talent show audience (for food of course ;-)) Dexter is our 9 Husky and boy are they hard work. I do love him though

It's really up to you! They are escape artists but only when they are bored. Huskies are not typical dogs. If you want a dog that's chill, go for a Golden Retriever. If you want a Siberian Husky, you need to research and make time to train/exercise! Huskies can be destructive when they are really bored. Just a heads up!

No, I'm a house wife x__x Lucky for my husband, I did the 24/7 watch on Proximo. Including every 3 hour wake up calls from Proximo when he was a puppy LOL not all huskies are this tough but Proximo sure was a training process for a human baby! Would you be able to afford all vet bills and day care? Maybe adopt a husky? :D

My sister and brother in law lost their husky Jasmine of 13 yrs last month on February 3rd. :( She gotten sick the night before and died the next late afternoon. I spent time comforting her before she died, she was a very good buddy to me. I wish I could share this video with them but I can't because it would be too painful for them.

Proximo was 7-8 weeks old when we brought him home. He was the biggest out of his siblings! Also, typically a female husky is and will grow up smaller than a male husky. =) Proximo's mom was small so the breeder warned us that Proximo may not grow as big as regular male huskies. Which is fine with us.

our husky just died through "Heat stroke" he was showing tiredness like for 5 hours i kept petting him and didnt realy know what was going on... he was our first husky.... RIP robin... now we learned our mistakes. the vet coudnt do anything about it. he juist vomited blood or something that he ate.. he left a dark void behind all of us..... would bringing him to an air-conditioned room would have saved him?

Every time your puppy pee's inside, immediately take it outside! Probably wont have any drops left in him but that's what we did. PetSmart has professional dog trainers, give them a call! =)
