6:00 As far as I can tell, as long as the cost doesn't specifically require Normal or Trigger units to be retired you can use the plant guages for any retire cost

Both decks were pretty cool. I agree that Granfia only got the foundations this set so it'll be interesting how they improve him And Mediell got the boost that allows her to Overtrigger every game. That thing is especially broken in Lyrical

20:35 Although it didn't matter cause of the counter heal should have restood the 15k orange. It would've been 40k which is higher and key number against the 20k g2.

I'm trying diantha on the deck. I realized the deck almost don't use cb so having a monster reborn is always good to get either inlet or plant token generators from drop. Also she is always 13k cause she counts herself and the nobless token to get 5k. Also, this deck makes a good amount of soul with mushroom and inlet. The dragontree stoicheia card that cb1 sb1 to get a order back from drop can save sometimes when you can't make a good board :)

Getting it to have the crit was easy , but having enough cards to get tokens, orders and prison dragons he was only a 15 2crit on a persona turn, sure after he restands he can get to 40k max but that first poke is nothing, and the second is easy to deal with too It was hurting alex more in practice then helping

Does the use of Plant Gauges as a cost, also extends when you use a skill that requires a rear-guard (just any rear-guard) to be retired?

The OT from the first game got me thinking. I play Olbaria as my OT in my Thegea Deck, how would you rule it in your 10k power OT, since the extra effect of Olbaria es giving 100mill? The whole point of olbaria is making an extra unit unguradable. Would you make it give just 10k? or maybe +30k or +50k(since is the guard value of OTs)?

The issue with hexa is that you see as many cards as you'd drive, so you dont stack it that often, but you can get "lucky" more often

I’ve found personally that Bist Alvas + tearing malice works pretty well with this deck. It sort of serves as a Samahdi clone, but for Granfia. Of course this does -2 plant gauges, but I think draw 1 every turn is useful.
@crosszdrake74352 жыл бұрын
Try playing it with roaming prison. Dragon this way it minus 1 plant Guage instead
@kodokutamashi15692 жыл бұрын
Actually Actia Sticky can't be used that way. Because the act skill require you to remove 2 RGS at the same for draw. You can remove 1 Plant gauge for the cost, but 1 more must be retired. In other words 1 rg still must be retired.
@TopDeckHeroes2 жыл бұрын
So the way it’s worded comes down to translation and interpretation “When you would retire rear-guards for cost, if you can pay by retiring Plant Tokens, you can pay by discarding Plant Gauge” So RGs and Plant tokens are used in plurals while Plant Gauge is in singular, so there is 2 ways to interpret this 1. The way we did it, for every retire get rid of a gauge 2. Take it as it says, in which case it actually can be more interpreted as “when you would retire X RGs, you can remove 1 plant gauge insted, because it uses plural for the costs when talking about RGs and Tokens, but only says Plant Gauge which can be interpreted as only 1 I will run this by a judge i know and get back to you with the verdict

"Don't use Inlet in Granfia" Challenge: Failed. Just because a deck makes 4 attacks doesn't automatically mean throw Inlet into it, Granfia in particular doesn't really need Inlet.
@scarlightemperor34102 жыл бұрын
But inlet is the mascot of Stoichea...
@elin1112 жыл бұрын
@@scarlightemperor3410 Inlet was incredibly good in Magnolia, BECAUSE of the synergy with Magnolia Elder. Take out that synergy with Elder and what exactly is Inlet? A 13k vanilla rearguard and a delayed hand filter and a +1 in soul, decent value for sure but far from the ultimate uber mega staple it was in Magnolia. Rorowa used Inlet because it burns 2 soul per turn with no other reliable way to soulcharge, but even there it was clunky to use. It was essentially a relucant "Just because there are no other options" inclusion and now there are other options thus no need for Inlet. As soon as Resonance Dragon was revealed for Lianorn everyone immediately jumped into the Inlet Pulse bandwagon again, and quickly cut it once they realized Inlet does little to nothing for Lianorn when Resonance already moves to soul after attacking and works much better with big beatsticks that hit for numbers after standing, rather than a 13k vanilla poke As for Granfia, the deck doesn't struggle with soulblast at all and has plenty options for superior calling and Actiasticky for draw power, you get basically nothing out of Inlet Pulse when the deck isn't starving for soul like other Stoi decks and can much more easily call other better rearguards to the front row than it.
@TopDeckHeroes2 жыл бұрын
So after testing with prison dragon and realizing that it gaining a crit was nice but the power was lacking, we switched to inlet and the deck did much better overall as the added draw was nice Are there better units then inlet sure, we will MAYBE try them next time, Also who said we can’t use Inlet with Granfia?? I wasn’t told that we weren’t allowed to use Inlet
@elin1112 жыл бұрын
@@TopDeckHeroes You could use Inlet indeed, but it would be more of a winmore card rather than an important engine piece which is why it didn't work in Lianorn either. I do agree that the idea with Prison Dragon was a lot better on-paper than it was in practice, besides the power issue the whole gimmick is kinda inconsistent without the means to set it up like Zorga would. Having to run a high Order count without means of filtering them leads to bricky hands on top of it.
@TopDeckHeroes2 жыл бұрын
So i never understood the “win more” argument, isn’t the point to make the deck win more lol, sure you have an abundance of soul that you wouldn’t need, but it combined with the order we used is still a good plus engine as well as a deck thin, also we actually had a discussion after the recording and the deck for next time is already changed from this version lol
