Proxy implicitly refers to Forward Proxy which impersonates and therefore hides the identities of clients. Reverse Proxy impersonates and therefore hides the identities of servers.

They might be using Distributed Eventing Architecture to achieve that. Which ever driver's app responds first to the server faster will get the drop booked

Anand Garlapati they are similar in concept except that load balancer are used to distribute traffic while reverse proxy is used to enhance security by obfuscation of your application servers and can also be used in a single sever architecture

As per this kzbin.info/www/bejne/pavLlpKVfMmKeZo, I understood that forward proxy is proxying the client and reverse proxy is proxying the server. I don't think your statement is correct "this phenomenon of client not knowing the server". Let me know if I misunderstood.
