If you don't want to watch this video, what I'm essentialy saying is that using paid in game currency to pay for a in game product is a common trick to make the consumer spend more money than they would have spended by purchasing the original product directly.
If there are any economist in the comments that want to explain it better than I do I encourage you to do so and I'll heart your comment.
I hope that PM realizes this, becouse one of the selling points of Limbus is that it is a "fair" gacha that doesn't aim directly for you money, but here they are tricking people to spend more money. For me if they wanted to make the pass more expensive, it would have been more correct just increasing the price tag directly, without any trickery or manipulation involved.
