I disagree. He’s a partial bust mainly because he was selected between two of the best ever, and he put up okay but pedestrian numbers when, as the post above me said, he was supposed to be a strong cornerstone of a franchise, if not outright lead them to the promised land. He will never be known as the worst player in NBA history, not by a long shot. I'm not sure I can agree with the Danny Ferry choice. While I see the point you're making about production from a number 2 overall pick... you also don't get 917 games out of a second-rounder. I could also agree that Danny Ferry wasn't starter material, but he was a very serviceable role player his entire career, even during the backend. it's fair to say that he didn't have an impact, but I also feel like there are a lot of players in that draft underperformed and also didn't have 917 games. Granted... those players weren't picked second overall. I'm sure this was a hard choice. Great list though! You know... for a bunch of busts!

Why would Portland draft Michael Jordan when they had drexler already they drafted what they needed a big man it just didnt pan out if bowie would've stayed healthy he probably would have been 20 and 10 which is solid but his legs failed 2.7 blocks is very good he wasn't a bust he was just injury prone

How many players are drafted ea year who make difference? Less than 10??
@mongoslade2772 жыл бұрын
That number is lower today. They draft 19 year olds THAT CAN'T PLAY in the 1st round these days bc of "potential"

Why do all these KZbinrs use that idiotic " narrator" voice
@Grief_Weasel2 жыл бұрын
A bust is someone who is rated very high and drafted high and then fails to reach their full potential. Injuries or death should not be considered in labeling a player as a bust.
@junofranco66382 жыл бұрын
same here, can't understand why media pundits and idiotic people keep referring injured players as busts.
@hgonz142 жыл бұрын
Or if they have a long career they shouldn't be bust. Chris Washburn is the definition of a true bust.

Sam Bowie wuz not uh bust!! He wuz injured & bawld out when healthy. Lyin 2 feed yer family duzn't make u uh bust....& he wuzn't drafted b4 MJ bcuz they thought he wuz betta! They drafted what they needed & Drexler wuz like MJ so they didn't draft him.✌🏽🤨❤👉🏽🏀🦬💩

James Ray really 8.2 minutes a game how can anyone have success that is 2 minutes a quarter If he played the whole game that equivalent 16ppg 16rpg. Bill garnett was in a bad situation just like Harold miner on a team full of guards only playing 12min a game aka 3min a quarter. That is why Steve Francis left Vancouver too many guards there.

Sam Bowie wasn't a star because his body the legs his freshmen year he was showing what future powerforwards would be like he could run jump shoot then on one dunk he landed and coach kept playing him when he should've rested
