I know it’s Norms Trains but it’s more like Norms portal to the past.. Your videography and model making is on another level. All the vintage rail film in the world and yeah I know that was the real world does not afford the chance you do to immerse yourself in the experience of watching every aspect of late period steam. It is as if you created a world where Pennsy’s alphabet roster lives on in their own glorious dimension. Even if they get the 1361 back in steam, or the 5000, they will always have the backdrop of today. You have preserved their essence surrounded by the red brick and cracked gravel mix concrete of their time in amber. I even watch you try things with your 3D printer and am thoroughly entertained.

Wow, just wow. This video is incredible. The detail is amazing, even the piled up trash and old barrels here and there, and the dirty sink! I grew up in coal and steel town in western PA. And this video is spot on, that is the way things looked back then. The buildings in the various towns looked like those here. That is exactly the type of RR bridge used. There was industry everywhere next to the tracks. There were a lot of steam engines back then, and they spewed coal dust everywhere. I loved the inside shots too. Wow, a welder? Are you kidding? Awesome and amazing job.

I always wanted one of those and I've heard they have tremendous pulling power
@DynamicDuo7952 жыл бұрын
@@danielhemple8649, it was difficult to look for the 2010 version. That one came with the wireless drawbar and improved tooling which included additional separately applied details. 2010 was the last year that MTH Premier steam engine's came equipped with PS2. By 2011 they switched over to PS3. The only MTH Q2's you can find these days is the earlier version from the early 2000's. I have a friend who owns the early version and he was able to pull a 100 car freight train at a train show without any difficulties. Just amazing.

As always, a fantastic video Norm, I can't agree more with any of the comments thus far. However the final shot was by far the highlight for me. I never had the opportunity to see steam on the PRR, but I know for a fact my Grandfather took me to see the diesels many times before The Pennsy faded into oblivion. Thank You for the memories.

I think a really cool thing would be if these trains actually preformed tasks and delivered real goods like say your pencil holder is fresh out of pencils so your train picks up some logging freight cars and takes them where a fresh supply of new pencils are stored and a machine loads each pencil into the cars and the train delivers the pencils like it would lumber that be awesome!
