I totally agree!! Well stated!!! It's like saying we don't care enough about this guitar to give you a "REAL" Hard Case for it. I'm just sayin'....
@gorlagOv3 жыл бұрын
@@brandiwill6693 you can literally buy a hard case if you want one... They are like 200 dollars. I’m sure you can get one while ordering your guitar. Not everyone has room for a ton of hard cases where they live. PRS hard cases are extremely heavy. Shipping a 35 to 40 pound package compared to a 13 pound one seems like a logical cost saving measure. If I put a guitar in a hard case or gig bag it’s because I don’t play it and I’m going to sell it. PRS guitars don’t break like Gibsons do they are built like tanks. Gig bags are preferable.
@brandiwill66933 жыл бұрын
@@gorlagOv Not so fast!!! You have 'no guarantee' the PRS hard cases will "FIT" your PRS. Trust Me. We Tried. We are using a 'cheapy' off Amazon for our PRS because not only will the PRS "Multifit" or even a "Real Les Paul" (Or other of your "$200 Alternatives) not work, PRS is zero help. No response to inquiries. And I (we) refuse to have a guitar in a case where the headstock is 2 inches higher than the body in a case!!! Been There. Tried It. Done That. Wait...Maybe that's 'exactly why' PRS uses GigBags instead of REAL CASES. And for the record? The 'only" cases that Sweetwater Experts will give a Guaranteed Fit?? $ 300.00 PLUS!!!! I'm not a fan of "gig bags", because I just don't think they hold up as good or protect the instrument as good as cases do going to and from gigs...now after making that comment though, I was like "Well Robert, don't be a total downer when you are commenting, man", so here is what I think about the Fiore offering...PRS back in the day had a "Studio" model...a 22 fret core that came with 2 narrow field humbuckers and a full sized humbucker in the bridge...and don't get me wrong, it was a great guitar, however, there are specific tones that someone doing studio work might be called on to hit on the money, and the PRS studio IMO, would be "well that's kind of close to what I'm shooting for, but not quite"...I mean we all know what those tones are: the neck single coil thing, the single bridge and middle pickup strat thing, the Tele thing...the humbucker bridge thing...I think, based on this video and others I've seen on this guitar, it is way more a "Studio" and all around gigging solution than the PRS Studio is...just my take on it...thanks for anothe video, and hope you and yours are doing well.

Holy crap. A 2.5 grand guitar and no case. Sounds like the Silver Sky come in a gig bag as well? Is this normal for PRS?
@gorlagOv3 жыл бұрын
PRS cases are like 250 bucks and are very heavy. The gig bags are great and I personally prefer them. These aren’t gibsons the headstock isn’t going to break, unless you really try.
@donicsm76843 жыл бұрын
@@gorlagOv My CU24 came with a hard case. It was a really nice one too. Maybe that added to the price but I can’t get over the fact that these don’t come with hard cases. They’re very high end guitars IMO.
@gorlagOv3 жыл бұрын
@@donicsm7684 a cu24 is double the price. You can pay 2600 instead of 2400 and get the case. If you want a case get a case. I don’t see the problem. I assume it is a cost cutting measure shipping, a 35 pound package is much more expensive than shipping a 13 pound package.
@donicsm76843 жыл бұрын
@@gorlagOv that makes sense to me. Hard case would’ve most probably bumped the price up. Just weird to me cause I’ve bought gibsons way way cheaper than these that come with cases but I see what you mean. A case would have made these more expensive.
