Ordered one of these and it arrived today. Absolutely fantastic guitar. I’ve been playing for about six hours straight and just can’t put it down! Mine appears just flawless, stays rock solid in tune, plays wonderfully and sounds gorgeous. My Les Paul is going to be collecting dust for a while.

I've got it too. No doubt it's a wonderful guitar, but coilsplit absence is making me doubteous. Is there any alternative option for that?, like EQ pedals or something?

I bought one, it had a 25% discount and for the money I think it's a good guitar to have in the collection. The fretboard is much lighter on mine than in this review which is a shame because the darker the better IMO against the gold body. It doesn't stay in tune particularly well which is a shame. I have guitars that hang on the wall for days, sometimes weeks and I'll grab one and discover it's still perfect, this isn't one of those. I've fitted the PRS SE locking tuners and that has helped a little but certainly not rectified the issue. I must that it goes out of tune even without use of the tremolo. There's good tonal variation between the three positions, but I wouldn't say these are particularly focused pickups and they do boom a little. The coils split feature found on the SE Paul's Guitar would have been welcome here too IMO. I rarely use a shoulder strap playing a guitar while sitting, but I do with this model. It doesn't suffer from headstock dive, it's the opposite, the headstock wants to lift up. Maybe that's why Brian had his thump over the neck most of the time during this review. The short scale with frets 24 frets, well that's certainly an interesting feature and I like it. This is a comfortable and easy fretboard to navigate. Unfortunately my slotted straight edge with a Fender 25.5" side and a Gibson 24.75/PRS 25" side is no good for this model. The slots don't line up with the frets so that's a tool I can't use to check neck relief on this model. Played through my Blackstar HT5 head and PRS Mark Tremonti 1 X 12 cabinet I'm yet to find a tone I love. However, I've been really enjoying late night sessions using this model and my Boss Waza Air headphones. I stayed up last night well after midnight really enjoying some open chord arpeggios. It came to life and sounded great on the clean settings with a little delay and reverb. Is it everything I hoped it would be? No, but it's an interesting model, very different from everything else I have and definitely a keeper.

I bought one last week for my birthday. Every thing what Nick asserts about the guitar is quiet true. This video helped to make a decision in favor of this guitar. There is only one thing I miss: splittable pickups. If I could have the TCI-S of Paul's Guitar it would be probably THE electric guitar of my dreams. As Nicks says, this is a true three-tone-guitar. Is there anyone here who can recommend humbuckers that work well even when split?

@@DavyMcKay I tune down a whole step and I couldn't get her to stay in tune , why no locking tuners ? and the bridge felt cheap , better options out there for heavier player like me . I love the look , love Carlos and PRS .

@@alejandrobaca6350 Malaysia. Single Cut version need to be ordered by the guitar shop. It seems that it was due to the TCI pickups and the color scheme featured on the model which make it so special.

Vahnchelsea thanks yes makes total sense the Singlecut design with the gold top is stunning and the tci pickups from everything I’ve heard online is very vocal, articulate and NOT muddy like les Paul’s. Hope you’ll be able to buy one soon

Did get one, it sounded bad (grainy and unclear), didn't stay in tune and had quite a lot of defaults (too much laquer in some place and not enough on some other parts, scratches from the tuners mounting...). Very comfy to play though. Overall very disapointed by PRS Indonesia. They should have stayed in Korea. Bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio. Couldn't be happier, sounds defined and bites if you want it too, lots of sustain, the neck is nice too (PRS was nicer on that point), and it stays in tune. And it's made in the US...

Pickups are too close together. Why do guitar companies always think that 24 frets is better? Moving the bass pickup to accommodate two extra frets is a dumb move in my opinion. Yngwie Malmsteen does just fine with 21 frets.

John Holmes I tend to agree. Definitely a compromise. Makes the neck pickup a tad more “glassy” and less warm and “woody”.

I normally prefer 22 frets, but I've played really nice 24th fret PRS, sounding like demons. I use to play a lot in 22th fret. With a 24 sometimes is easier to work in the 22th. And, apart, this Santana sounds amazing even having 24. Anyway, PRS has a lot of 22 fret guitars. So it is not an "always". I love the scale personally, as well.

@@jaydenjhammer This is the 2nd, back in 2009 the Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) signature was a 24 fret singlecut with a trem, it was also the first SE to feature the bird inlays and had a flame maple headstock veneer as well. That guitar, unlike this one, had the thinner body of a regular Custom 24 with HFS/Vintage Bass pickups.
