This was one of my favorite episodes. It's so awesome watching Phoebe and Prue get their innocence and seeing a fairy. Makes me sorry I left childhood behind. And the mythology behind this episode is fantastic. Using the idea of the in-betweens and trolls is straight out of legends. Comes from fairies and trolls being impossible and in-betweens are too. In-betweens only last for a second or two, except for midnight which is about 60 seconds. Which means it's rare for fairies and trolls to appear in the mortal realm according to legends. The writers did some good research for this episode. Good job to the writers.

In next season they will see fairies without spells or this magic tricks. Another plot hole, but I love this show)

Maybe they’ve developed an ability to see them as growing witches? Or maybe fairies can make people see them if they want to

Not a plot hole. They didn't even believe fairies existed. It wasn't until they believed (& got dosed) but mainly their belief that allowed them to see. Plus the fairies know they're good so they make themselves known now.

@@BlackGirlMarvel It's clearly stated the adults can not see them. It was a huge plot hole and no amount of wild fan speculation will change that. We like the show despite those not because of those.

Maybe not. Fairies can pass into the mortal realm through the in-betweens. In-betweens are about change. Changing from one moment to the next or one room to the outside, etc. The Charmed Ones are essentially a force of change in the world as they were meant to balance good and evil. It's not really surprising that they were able to summon fairies and other magical beings that usually don't show in mortal realms. Being a Charmed One is more than just being able to vanquish. They have magics that most witches don't have. In essence, they bring a lot of change and because of it the usual rules sometimes don't apply with them.

I love how Prue was bouncing and said "I want to see the fairy." So unlike Prue. It was just adorable. And I'm not surprised about Phoebe. Phoebe likes to have fun. Laughter is implied.

Just imagine adults never lost the ability to c fairies, no matter how they act and believe. Scout Taylor-Compton would play all the girl faires, just as Jake Dinwiddie played all the male ones. Pixie Dust does all sorts of magical things, like Tuatha's. In the reboot, says there r over 100 different types, but all we've seen r the woodland pixie type. Both versions have lacked fairy godparents, -mothers r so common. In s4 of DC's Legends of Tommorow, potrays them as a job for witches

I've always thought that there needs to be a show that shows all the different types of fairies in the legends. So many of them. The only two shows that I've seen different kinds of fairies was Supernatural and True Blood. Supernatural had both the flying woodland fairies and leprechauns (a domestic fairy). And True Blood's Sookie was half-fairy and the writers expanded a lot on that in later seasons when Sookie found out about her heritage and the fairies she was related to. But the majority of them were woodland fairies even in True Blood. But yes, being able to see fairies would be cool.
