I have same plant and after bloom and it get legging & ugly I cut back a lot and it’s growing back. I don’t like them to be tall. To propagate just cut the steam and let it callus and stick in the soil container under the shade.

Thank you Blossom! It’s good to know that yours grows back. I am sure this one will grow back with a vengeance. I should have kept the cutting to propagate!

The spots could be a type of fungus, you guessed right with the overwatering of the roots. It is hard to say for sure, it could be insect attack and even sunburn can cause spots. I did some googling and just got more confused as to narrow the cause down. I had a Sedum Stone Crop plant that got very sodden with cold winter rain. It went black, rotted and died off, so I pulled it out. Then suddenly in summer there are all these little shoots re growing where it was planted.

Thank you so much Andy! Your information was very helpful! I agree with you that sometimes the researching can leave you more confused. I am going to let it grow out and reduce the watering and hopefully that resolves the issue. That is really neat about your sedum! Thank you again. 😄
